How do you do proper links in here? I tried to use the spiky brackets and href thing like I used to in the box but it didn't work. I may have done it wrong. If you're posting from a mobile you may need to select the Desktop option at the bottom of the screen. This should give you access to the format buttons. Then Click on Reply or Quote (not Quick Reply) Highlight the text you want to link from. Select the Link button (first button on right bank) Paste address in box Click Create Link |

So anyway. Games? Diplomacy. I absolutely love Diplomacy. Or fucking hate it. Haven't decided yet.
Wolfenstein 2: still only played 15 minutes since buying. However, worving from home today so I might squeeze in a session between Doctors and Diagnosis Murder.

I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn. Late to the party as usual. It's great but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the size of it. I think what I'm experiencing with it might be akin to what some of you felt about the Witcher but it's tweaked the bits that I couldn't get on with in The Witcher. Most importantly the general mechanics work better. Aloy is reactive to what I tell her to do. There's much less inventory management and annoying equipment degradation. There's a bit less reliance on mounts and when I do use them I'm less often being driven into a bush like with the cursed Roach. The story is better. But apart from that they're quite similar in a lot of ways.
Anyway I've realised that I only really have time for HZD and Destiny for the foreseeable future. The only solution if I want to experience more game time will be to buy a Switch. But a sneak attack by the taxman has put that idea on hold for now.

Got to admit, I've been tempted with both Mechanicus, GSC and Newcromunda. Which considering I havent given them a penny for 15 odd years is impressive. |

I love Tent Hen like a sister, but I think the chances of Sony changing their public relations policy on the basis of a few dozen gamers being slightly less welcome at an ailing newspaper is fairly limited. |

Why is the female pink and the male blue? I declined to disclose my gender to avoid the pigeon-holing by patriarchal gender stereotyping which bolsters the structural inequality inherent in the hegemony. Gamergaters would eat me alive even faster than Alleygaters would. |

This morning Western Power is giving us one of their increasingly popular power cuts. Our burglar alarm is whining incessantly like a bored child in a caravan during a rainy holiday in Devon. Mobile phone is the only way of communication and its battery is draining fast. Send help.
It's too dark to read anything so I might have to play games on the Switch. Take that, Western Power. I don't need no electricity to entertain myself.
I was semi-serious. That I'm going to tell my uncle who works for Nintendo goes without saying. But I want to see what response Easily is going to get from the tech editor and then see whether it's necessary to threaten them a bit.
