Made a massive pot of minestrone for my lunch / the freezer. The child & pm are off to buy walking boots as the child has a school residential thing coming up.
Next, prepping for chicken casserole.

I spent most of the morning being dead from a hangover. Fortunately a medicinal course of highly concentrated sausage and egg mcmuffin, industrial quantities of lucozade sport, and some deep breathing exercises to get me through the waves of sweating nausea, have partially revived me

I have just been playing Dragon’s Dogma II.
I like it so far. I created my character. A mage with what I was hoping would be my face ... To be honest he looks more like the actor Aidan Gillan. He walks a bit like Joe Biden, though, because I didn’t fully understand the posture and gait settings.
It’s good.
I don’t like the fact that, after you die, you ressurect in an inn. In the Souls games you’re already dead or in a dream (sort of), and in the Monster Hunter games you get knocked out and carted away by cats. Resurrecting in an inn just kind of … spoils the immersion.

I wasn’t so into the ‘pawn’ aspect of the previous game. I don’t know why. I think a big part of it was that they always called you ‘Arisen’. The lion doesn’t call me this. He’s a bit more expansive. He also talks in a fruity, mellifluous voice, as if he once ‘walked the boards’.

I went to see The Smile in Brum on Friday, and at Ally Pally last night.
I stayed up unitil 3 on Friday and didn't get home until 2 last night.
Slept until 11.55. C
Standing concers two nights in a row is a lot. I feel mildly achy today.
The Smile were excellent.

I've spent most of this afternoon putting an Ikea billy bookcase back together.
It had seperated enough at the bottom for the shelves to drop and the CDs all to slide down.
Ungood.
I've reloaded it so the CDs support the shelves as much as sit on them. This has created more space and seems stable, but my CDs are in worse order than ever. I still don't really have enough shelf space for all of them.
To compensate the NAS is well ordered with all the rips.

Probably sell all. the handhelds.
The GBC's GBAs and DSs were/are my daughters'. There's also a whole bunch of games, one of which Pokemon Crystal would go for £35 at CEX * probably more online. There's also a couple of other Pokemon games as well as two Zelda ones with manuals.
I'll get what I can for them and give them the money.
* £158 if I could find the box...
