I once beat Nigel Mansell in a Frisbee tournament. He wasn't happy about it.

The Guardian seems to be obsessed with reporting what Gen Z thinks about Sex and the City. That's at least 2 big articles on the topic so far. I wasn't reading the paper much back in 1989 but I bet they didn't run many features on what Gen X thought about The Man From UNCLE.

None the wiser about the ending of The Void. It did help to imagine that I was watching a lost episode of this, though.

Not just me then.
The non-CGI special effects were pretty good though.

The report of the random man walking around in the street hooting? Apparently looking for his void.

Yo! Where scamander at? Today has been a Roman day. Traveled to Fishbourne Roman Palace this morning, where we saw some very impressive mosaics and other items Then in the afternoon, we went slightly further inland to Bignor Roman Villa. And they had even more impressive mosaics AND some reenactors. The latter put on some good one on one battles, which also included gladiatrix, Romans, Normans, and Saxons. Even mixed ‘em. Nothing quite like being for blood in bloodless blood-sports.

After all the pump here, I have just watched The Void.
I found it visceral, but not overly scary, and way too many questions about the ending.
i might eat a load of cheese now, so I can blame that for the nightmares to come….. brrrrrr.

Hello. Back from the concert hall. Rhapsody in Blue & the Bernstein stuff was fantastic. The second half not so much.
There was a 13 yr old on the Piano for the Gershwin, the wee spoff.

hi
I am in Manchester. In a branch of Premier Inn.
It is ok. I would have liked some towelling slippers to go down to breakfast in. It would also have been nice to have some soy / textured mycoprotein sausages to eat … They did have plenty of hash browns. I’m not complaining. I knew what to expect.
I was out in Manchester last night. I’ve been to Manchester before but last night it struck me as a cross between Liverpool and Birmingham. On reflection I stand by it.
I think I might go for a trip round the world. Does anyone have any suggestions? Where around the world is good to go to? … Around the world in 21 days. I’m seriously considering this - next year (but not committing myself to it).
