Smart Meter chat. The Gas Board™ said they were coming to fit a smart meter at ours. They do both our leccy & gas. So would be two boxes. Eventually said ok. Arranged a date. Happened to be WFH so that was good.

I'm now level 5 and I've the option to turn on the ability to shoot other players, and in turn be shot. I didn't as I'm finding my feet. If you've played Fallout 4 you'd have a definite advantage as from my limited experience it seems the same controls, pip boy etc.
You're in a map with up to 24 other folk.
You can play play a private server with 7 other losers.
You can jump between 1st & 3rd person which is nice as I prefer 3rd for mooching about.

I played Fallout 76 on release, it's improved a lot, there are now proper npcs not just robots, there's a main quest to follow and after that it is basic mmorpg stuff, I enjoyed it, I stopped a while ago around level 100ish.
Might download it again.

I spent the morning at an ‘education conference’. I’m not sure how open this conference is to people outside the institution I work at. It is conference-like ... One of the speakers this morning was a headmaster from an east-end school talking about the approach he took to achieve academic excellence. Big Beano school energy: Respect for authority, sport, reading the classics. His manner, however, was not unfriendly …
One of the sessions this afternoon is called ‘Sing-a-long-a-classroom: Supporting student perceptions of learning complex concepts with song’.
I don’t think I’m going to go back. I think I’ll go and just … enjoy the office.
