I've been out in central London. so yes. I went to a few pubs around London Bridge and the pints were £7-£8. Also somewhere by the new stuff at Kings Cross. There are cheaper places in London, lots of places are about £6 a pint.
I expect the White Horse at Parsons Green is horrific now especially for fancy beer. It's a good pub for food for Chelsea or Fulham, so long as you don't like your money very much.
Outside central London no. Though I suspect there a few places in Brum where you could spend that. A load of bloggers went out in Brum and watched an England game at the Hyatt bar. I think it was in 2016, but it might have been 2018. The beer was £6 a pint then, so

Also, what's a novelty pint? Craft beer or strong Belgian ales. The sort of thing Brewdog sell.

I went to a casino in soho a few weekends ago. A round for 8 people came in at just over 80 quid I see the midlife crisis is going full steam ahead. Was this before or after the strip club?

I saw this. I wanted to send a letter to say that a flat white in central London costs £3.80, and that I was writing from central London. My email was on my computer at home though …

Pints of beer in London used to be really expensive compared to everywhere else. I’ve been out, though, in Birmingham and Liverpool recently. There’s not that much difference. Except in Wetherspoons.

I've never been in a casino or a strip club. Unless you count the ones in GTA.

I've been to Las Vegas once. It's fine so long as you don't think about the amount of cash they are extracting from visitors. Designed to give you a 'good' time but extract as much cash as possible from 90% of visitors. The 10% who don't lose are the bait for the others.
I have been to strip clubs on stag dos. Not my scene. Expensive, tawdry and exploitative. Good if you want to feel bad about yourself the next day.

Not many of my friends are married, I've only been on two stag do's - hence no strip clubs.
Been in a bookies a handful of times, been to the dogs once.
Not into football, so don't have the self belief that many footy supporters do about knowing how a game will shape up.
I would like to go to Vegas, but never been. Randomly put on the lottery, but that's more like throwing money away due to the long odds.
My late pal Kenny used to gamble on the Golf and had quite a good return on it. He kept a book of outgoings/wins so knew where he stood.
When younger I'd rather gamble on the outcome of pills allegedly made by Dutch chemists. Now there's a gamble you lightweights.

Absolutely amazed at the prices folk are wanting for some stuff on Facebook marketplace. Mate, it's 2/3rd of that price in CEX and that has a two year guarantee.

I don't bet on football. It's expensive enough and miserable enough without losing money on gambling. Plus it's a big business. The bookies know what they are doing. There aren't many clearly mispriced bets (well not since Leicester win the PL). Anyone watching much football on TV will quickly realise the bookies make a lot of cash from it. I do not need to contribute.
I like Cheltenham and the Grand National, but that's it for betting. No real knowledge of horses so I tend to go e/w on horses expected to do well. I think I lose £5-£10 on average per year. I just broke even this year with a random 5th place at the National bringing in the big money.
