I've just been on LinkedIn for a work thing. People go on about how twitter is a hellscape but LinkedIn is several billion times worst. 99% of the posts are either 'I'm pleased to announce that I'm starting a new role as....' or some inspirational nonsense that only a complete psychopath would actually find interesting.
It also keeps trying to encourage you to congratulate someone you barely remember from three jobs ago on their nth job 'anniversary'. Grow your network. Growth at all costs. Congratulate Ricky Spoons on his 70th year working at the Hull Burger King as assistant to the toilet cleaner. Here's a video about how some idiots internet broke during an online interview and what he did next was so out of the box and thought leading that I instantly gave him a job on the spot.

The worst LinkedIn post are the ones like:
'Today one of my employees came to me and said they had a family issue, or bereavement or something maybe, I wasn't really listening. Rather than fire them or dock their pay, instead I compassionately told them they could take some time off, and make it back up later, once they'd dealt with whatever bollocks it was they were talking about.
