hi I was making breakfast this morning and, I don’t know why, but I remembered that, in 1997, the Sun came out and said it was backing ‘New Labour’. I wondered who it was backing now. I had a look on the Sun website and it seems it’s not officially backing anyone yet. I did a Sun poll about who I would be voting for and this was the result: I know the Sun can’t turn an election and that not as many people read it as they did, but … the idea that the election’s going to be a cake-walk for Labour might be a bit premature …

I know Tony Blair took part in the invasion of Iraq - a bad business. And messed up dentistry. But … at least in 1997 the Labour party seemed significantly different to the Conservatives. The ‘Third Way’. It obviously wasn’t massively different to the Conservatives but it seemed different. It was different enough. And there were still quite left wing people in the party. They never welcomed any right wing members of the Conservative Party in. There were no photo ops with David Mellor coming over to the Labour benches. Or … anything like that. Maybe there was. I don’t remember.
Pfffft…

I think Keir Starmer and Joe Biden will get in. Then … things go wrong for Labour and we end up with a right wing nut-job after that. Not sure what will happen in the United States.
Hmmm (juts out lower lip and plays on it like a piano with the fingers of the right hand)

Here in Wales I'm lucky to have 2 left of centre parties to choose from, Welsh Labour and Plaid Cymru. I'm going with Plaid Cymru.

The PM has been keeping the child's Dualingo streak going while she's been away with the school.
Reminds of me of my colleagues attempting to keep their kids Tamagochi alive when the schools banned them.
Lovely day in the Shires. Been to the shop for rolls.
Breakfasted and now to the vaccum. In space no one can hear you hoover.

I'm in a life or death struggle with my car's battery. What I need is an Auto Electrical Quincy.
The muddyfunster won't charge up, still, it's under warranty.

Is this because you don't drive the car enough? I suspect the battery doesn't like only occasional use for short journeys.

I went to an all-you-can-eat Indian buffet for lunch. I ate all I could in 20 minutes, bought some Indian sweets, then cycled round Russell Square to try and burn it off. Now drinking a coffee in the company of the internet ….

I feel elated. So elated I’m going to make a proposal. A GGB Chatterbox (v2.0) meet-up.
Just putting it there - on the table. No need to even really look at it if you don’t want to.

I genuinely like this thought, but there’s a major spanner in the works… and it’s not Tuffers. It’s the geographic disparity of our congregation. We’re just too dispersed!
