I left the Student Union bar at work. I’d had a fairly small amount to drink and was pre-occupied because a colleague had said she was going to head home on her moped although she had consumed a portion of booze ….
A man appeared and began to assail me - spilling out these words. He had a maroon baseball cap and a maroon bomber jacket and had … many mouthfuls about how he was right-wing, how ‘right-wing’ didn’t mean anything, how Nigel Farage was attacked, that he knew Nigel Farage, that Geert Wilders was a good thing. He was saying his father was a ghurka but he supported Tommy Robinson. Also that he was a genius and an expert in data ...
It was a bit much. Whenever I started to say something he stood back and began to gesture as if at an imaginary film crew, like he was saying ‘Here it comes - this is what I have to put up with’. Ah man … The guy was a piece of work. I wanted to at least address some of the things he was saying but whenever anyone else approached he’d say ‘Let’s ask this man - he looks like a professor’, or sentences of this sort.
I left this man to hassle someone else. I cannot say I left any conceptual bombs. He was conflating liberalism with Trotskyism, that’s for sure. I hope, following my words, he’s gone home to look up the terms on Wikipedia, and has now had his whole conceptual world tumble away …

Went round to my folks earlier. Had to listen to my dad ranting about how Trump is being targeted by the globalist establishment because he's the only one who's standing up for regular everyday people. He then stormed off in a huff when my mum said that Farage is just as dishonest as all the other politicians. Apparently he's not dishonest, which is why tue WEF threw milkshake at him
