I "fixed" a toilet flush this morning. It wasn't really broken, just a little temperamental, but everyone I work with is too stupid to be able to cope with it. I took the mechanism apart, greased the spring and the plunger slightly. It seemed to be working perfectly before I put it back together. Then I put it all back together, and now it's exactly the same or slightly worse than when I started. Job done. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with that result. If you haven't made things significantly worse that counts as a win. Anything that doesn't leave you lying on your back in 3 inches of water with the mechanism in several pieces and you unable to stop the flood is ok. |

I got door knocked by the leader of the Scottish LibDems a couple of years ago. I told him I had voted SNP at the previous election because I hate the Tories. He said, 'fair enough, I hate them too'. It was all very convivial tbh.

That's the issue really, the fact is it's a 2 party system that functions through tidal ebb and flow, the Lib Dems will only ever be 'tagalongs' or the extra friend on a date, the Tories have the finance to do as they please and will assist only businesses they deem of future financial value to themselves and Labour are taking all the scraps from the top of the table as well as from underneath all the while shouting out about the woes of the people while using the them to suck up to the 'high table'. It's a f***ed up system in a f***ed up world playing for time until the next staged war that they are orchestrating through the war mongers who are playing both sides and earning from both - just so they can test the next batch of technology and grease the cogs of the machine they have built.
