I enjoyed Bernard Butler. He was excellent.
Metronome is a small, but comfortable theatre at Nottingham Trent University. It's much posher than the Anson Room used to be at Bristol University.
Seats, good view, air conditioning, proper lights.
Bernard was surprisingly chatty. He used to have a reputation for being very quiet, but he was in good form.
Played for a full two hours.
No Suede or Tears tunes, but I suppose he never sang on them.
He was chatting at the merchandise stall after as well.
Though he lied at one point. He said his last trip to Nottingham had been for a 2-0 defeat.
I checked this and it is not true.
The last time Arsenal lost 2-0 at Forest was in1984. He has played Nottingham at least twice before tonight.
He may have meant a different defeat, but it is still highly suspicious.

I went to a gig at Brixton academy last night. I drank two pints of zero alcohol San Miguel, and a warm can of Guinness, which set me back £22.75 in total
I also discovered a great life hack on the way home. If you're tired while driving, nod off at the wheel for a second or so. Wakes you right up

I am a cheapskate so I did not buy anything from the bar at the gig.
This was partly because I went to Five Guys for dinner and had just finished a coke before the concert.
I did however spend £60 on a limited edition signed single and a signed CD box set.
And bought a ticket this morning to see him in Brum in October (He's announced more shows since the first lot. I don't think I would have gone to Nottingham if Brum had been announced at the same time. You never know though.)

I've been out shopping, buying big on fish and carbs. Also swapped 2 of my vape juice things for another flava.
Games: Dead Island 2. 2nd playthrough with a different character. It's nice that the game let's you keep all the top weapons & more from the previous game, which you can sell for BIG BUCKS to enhance your arsenal on the current game.
TV: Shameless. Frank Gallagher looking like a hairy Tuffers.
