I didn’t sleep so good last night. I woke up at 2 and drifted in and out of sleep for the next few hours. I did have a dream about adopting a basset hound at some point. Then I got up and looked at my phone.
Pumped about England getting through to the knockout stages of the Euros. Semi-pumped. An inflatable castle in the early stages of its inflation.

My partner has discovered a raft of classic films are available on iPlayer.
Last night, we watched a rather good screwball comedy called Vivacious Lady (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0030944/) starring a young Jimmy Stewart and Ginger Rogers. Always a fan of Stewart, and the direction is very impressive for a film from 1938.

I had a poor morning's sleep.
From 8.15 I was disturbed by
1) Window cleaner
2) a few flying ants I had to remove from the bathroom
3) Amazon delivery man at the door
4) Amazon delivery man on phone as I hadn't answered doorbell fast enough
5) Recycling men emptying bottles into the lorry
This was all by 8.35. I found it tricky to get back to sleep after that.

Changed team, comfortable England win The only change is Gallagher for TAA. It would be embarrassing if we played a front 6 of Gallagher, Palmer, Mainoo, Watkins, Gordon, Toney and won 5-0 (or lost) England will do ok tonight, but I doubt it will reassure anyone we have a workable plan for facing actual good teams. |

I've been to the World Pipe Band Championship many years ago. There was much, much beer consumed. They can drink like fuck those lads & lassies. My pal at the time played the pipes.

Just back from the childs P7 Graduation. Despite my misgivings on such things I think there was some pollen floating about the room.
Doing some stats now that I can't be arsed doing.
We've received some unexpected funding for new tech kit, including an Apple silicon laptop that I'm looking forward to setting up at home for several months.
