Who is the current WR holder for walking on Ilkley Moor baht'at? Probably the same as that for traipsing all over other people's cultural heritage. Show me on the doll where Sean Bean touched you.

The wiki page on the origins of the modern Olympics is pretty interesting. Looks like the Scousers have a solid claim as well.
It also reveals the early history of VAR:
"Of the 650 athletes in the 1904 Olympics, 580 were American; the winner of the marathon was later disqualified upon discovery of a photograph of him riding in a car during the race."

One does not simply walk into Shropshire. It is folly.

crankcallerDo you think you will have a ‘rijsttafel’ in Amsterdam? An eating sensation. I will investigate. We are in Centraal station about to get a Tram. Clocked a drug deal on the train in. Some lad in an Ajax top being less than subtle. Leave out the wanky hand flourishes next time mate.

One does not simply walk into Shropshire. It is folly. It's a bit too far to comfortably walk to from here. I's about 26 miles to Cosford which is on the border and 40 miles to Much Wenlock. Plus when you get to Much Wenlock there's fuck all there. Nearly as backward as Yorkshire. So having a car to make a quick escape is essential.

My first trip to Amsterdam was with my parents in '94 I would have been 15 or so. I only had one cassette with me, Bjork debut. I remember going out exploring with that on full volume, finding a few cafes for some joints and thinking I was pretty much the coolest teenager in the world at that moment. The second time was a year later with my mate Gaz, we got mugged at knife point almost straight off the train, took most of our cash so had to survive on crisp sandwiches and weed for 5 days. The weed really accelerated the consumption of the crisp sandwiches. I went twice last year, once for a gig to see Devil makes 3 and once for work. It definetly didnt feel as magical or exciting city to be in. But I guess thats what 30 years in between does to you.

Who is the current WR holder for walking on Ilkley Moor baht'at? Geoffrey Boycott. Just had Norris McWhirter on line one. Looks like Boycs record stands no more. New record holder is Toxteth O'Grady (USA). Your welcome.

I might go to Amsterdam in a couple of weeks’ time, with my Dad. I hope so. I’m trying to work out the various different options.
I have been a few times. I like the idea that it’s very tolerant / permissive. But then there’s lots of messaging now about how that’s maybe not quite the case anymore.
I think (maybe) lots of people who work in finance are relocating to Amsterdam from London, and perhaps want to do away with some of the more insalubrious elements … I don’t have a lot of evidence to back this up.

Can’t tell if Lazy’s talking about weed or the red light district as his reason for going. It’s mainly just the attitude of everything being ‘ok’. Makes it feel relaxed.
