Shame for Crank, SandyB and Faceless. Still, the right people won in the end. And Shenguin.

Interesting stat from the Grauniad;
"...But there has been a unique, bizarrely recurring theme to England’s departures from major tournaments have often been carbon copies in the last 30-odd years.
Score early, usually in the first five minutes
Beat our chests for the next 10 minutes
Slowly retreat.
Concede an equaliser
Concede another or lose on penalties
It happened in 1992, 1996, 2002, 2004, 2016, 2018 and 2021. They also lost leads against Argentina in 1998 and Portugal and Romania (the latter effectively a knockout game) in 2000."

Tbh, if you actually think England are going to win, you’re about to have a painful 90 minutes.

I'm not sure about scoring in the first five minutes. I know it happened in the last final against Italy, but it sounds like what has actually happened is we've often scored first, but always eventually got knocked out. Same can be said of most teams

Tbh, if you actually think England are going to win, you’re about to have a painful 90 minutes. Not as painful as it's going to be for the Spanish

Tbh, if you actually think England are going to win, you’re about to have a painful 90 minutes. I don't. But in 2021, we were at home, I thought we were better than Italy and would win. We lost. This time, we aren't at home, Spain are clearly better, and we'll likely get thumped. So.. (clutches straws)

I actually want England to win but rarely watch them live, I watch the Women's team because those games are, generally, less stressful.

Pretty dull match for the neutral. Reflects the tournament as a whole - it's been no Euro 2000.
