Not looking to 5 am wake up again. People taste stringy, dogs are best as crispy chilli Chinese.

Stxdpr's posts are definitely good, but I sometimes am not certain what they mean.

Stxdpr's posts are definitely good, but I sometimes am not certain what they mean. I am generally familiar with the individual words, and the sentence structures usually look roughly right, but the meaning is often shrouded in mystery

hi
I am on a Greek island. The island is nice - the villa is nice, but …
Ok …
We got here and the owner said ‘We don’t lock up. There’s no crime on the island’, or words to this effect.
Practically this means - you can’t actually lock the place, either when you’re in, or when you’ve gone out.
To me this is fucked up. I’ve texted him to say ‘Can we get the locking of the villa fixed?’ In quite a friendly way. The pm has emailed his wife. No replies though.
I’m sort of having an ok time because I’ve put my passport and money in a safe. I’ve had to hide my laptop though, and I’m sleeping with one eye open in case someone walks in at night. I can see it’s unlikely but …
Like I’ve said - I think it’s fucked up. We’ve paid in advance though. And don’t have much leverage.
Thanks for listening.

Lazybones is obviously uncomfortable in a low crime scenario. I picture him sitting outside the taverna opening nuts with his zombie knife while sizing up the locals as potential threats.

Yeah, it's genuinely fine Lazy. You just have to go with the flow sometimes. If there's no crime, then there's no crime. Keep your keys, passport, wallet, etc on you, and don't sweat the rest.
I had the same on the Isle of Mull once; no locks as no need in a cabin in some remote (serial killer) woods. Freaked me the fuck out. But in retrospect, I should've been cooler.
There's no locks on tents, and I've never had anything nicked from a tent.

I'd like to know which island Bonesy is on. Nothing sinister, just professional curiosity.

If Lazy doesn't come home with a suitcase full of red hot dvd players he's really squandered this opportunity.
