Amipal's cat is playing Mario Kart? The subject clearly switched from the feline to my son… so no.

Cauliflower cheese with hostages. Roasted the cauliflower rather than pre boiling as supposed to stop the sauce losing it's thickness. Seems to have worked. I par cooked the cauliflower in the microwave. Then drained it and put it on some kitchen roll to dry out a bit. I've seen a few whole roasted cauliflower things on Instagram that have looked good.

So what I discovered over in the Discord the other day... The extra income from minimum alcohol pricing in Scotland, where does it go? Towards alcohol dependency schemes? In the Scottish Govt coffers? Nope, apparently it goes to the alcohol companies. What a fucking joke. No other way to do it. The tax powers aren't devolved. I'm not sure how much the policy affects prices anyway. It basically means you can't sell a bottle of wine for less than 6 quid or a large can of beer for less than 1.50 or something like that. So it's only raising prices on very cheap alcohol. There's no reason for our middle class drinks to be more expensive as they're already over the minimum. I suppose the ban on 3 for 2 type deals might affect the craft beer wanker set (aka me).

Macaroni, cauliflower, broccoli and mushroom gratin in the oven. Proper Autumnal grub. Probably more Sleeping Dogs tonight on the laptop while they watch Strictly. Sounds tasty. It'd be better with a bit of chicken.

I’ve tried sticking a PlayStation or GameCube pad in front of him, but his lack of opposable thumbs means he’s crap at anything. Also tried a computer keyboard, though his knowledge of the alphabet is non-existent.

amipal reminds me. When Tids Junior was a kitten, I'd get home from work an hour earlier than Mrs T. So, I sat crossed legged on the floor and bunged on Forza. The cat would sit on my lap and watch me drive. Then, I would always put on the replay for little Tids, who loved watching the cars drive around, but I had to be careful. Sometimes, she would try and 'catch' the cars. Sometimes I miss that little shit.

You want to have a word with your cat, sounds like it's slacking.

Bedtime, nope work till the morning. Life advice don't stand in the middle lane of the m40 unless you want to remake final destination again.

So that's the cat's excuse for being bad at games, what about the rest of you? I have trouble with melee games due to a touch of arthritis in my left hand. Having to quickly mash buttons doesn't do it any good. Some would say I was pretty dire at games anyways.

morning. Off to that there Ipswich today to look at some tiles. PM doesn’t like how I drive on ‘fast roads’ so might have to curtail my normal A14 shenanigans. Inside lane all the way.

So that's the cat's excuse for being bad at games, what about the rest of you? Gaming PC is 12 years old now. My eyesight is shonky. Living on a building site last few months has left me little time. PM is at home all the time now so no gaming-days. Booze.

Another car stopped to let me cross the road earlier. Problem is, the road was sans traffic and they stopped 3 car lengths away from me. They did not flash their lights or gesticulate for me to cross. I thought it was a trap. Bit of a Mexican stand-off ensued.
Culprit: 1 old lady in a big Mercedes.
With my new haircut, it's possible they mistook me for a young JFK.
