Cats are taking over, planting their little furry bums on one kitchen work top at a time.

Morning all,
Games: more mad Max. I just got through the big teeth, or something similar. With a thunderpoon. My pimped out magnum opus is becoming a lot of fun. I like the variations in the different strongholds too.
TV: Some episodes of 4 in a bed. Some truly awful people on display.
Other: I've started getting a sore throat and losing my voice, phone interview tomorrow. Text book. Maybe they'll want to work with someone who sounds like a kidnapper?

Morning all. More RIAT photo editing last night, with a large chunk of time spent on exactly how I want the end product to look. I think I've settled on a theme now.
@bloggiesmalla That Max is a grower, isn't it? You've got the Thunderpoon a hell of a lot earlier than I did. It's a game changer, that.

Morning,
Games. None. TV. Started S4 of parks&rec.
The child is going on the climbing wall today. She loves it. Need to get her to the one in Glasgow. I suppose at age 6 I should be sending her solo up the old man of hoy having rowed out to it. Ooh. Snark.

Thunderspoon - when cuddling with your bed partner, they let rip a fart that splits your spoon apart.

TV. I’m so engrossed in Black Sails. I’m most of the way through season 2, and already dreading that it’ll all be over soon.

Morning all!
Games chat
One guess to what I played last night......
Final Fantasy X. So, I beat Yunalesca and I'm on my way to picking up the airship. I've now gone from completely wanting this game out my life to wanting to go pick up the Celestial Weapons and do all that shite.
WHY

Save yourself and don't bother. You'll end up getting pissed at Lulu's lightning dodge or Wakka's blitzball bollocks and never actually finish the game. On the other hand, if you're going to do celestial weapons then you might as well do the Calm Lands monster arena (capture ten of EVERY monster) and the Dark Aeons (pretty much need maxed sphere grids, on everyone)

Oh lovely.
I'll probably patch the most of them and just do the side quests, even just for levelling up.

Games chat: Did some Soulsing yesterday. Smashed up Sif the Wolf, the boss at the start of the lava area, and the ridiculous boss in the catacombs. I also worked out how to kill the ghosties in the flooded ruins area. Great success
Sheep! (or anyone else in the know). Why has the bonfire gone out at firelink? Most inconvenient.

It is a lot of fun, I've accepted the driving is more arcadey than realistic (does anyone ever use the brake!?)and it suits the game well. I'm pretty sure we all get the thunderpoon at the same time though, it was the only way to open the big gate.

Faceless
Knight Lautrec did it. you need to go to the Firekeeper's cave and get her set an the black eye orb. Once you have this go to the hall outside Ornstein & Smough's room. Equip black eye or and it will let you invade him.
He is tricky to kill. Best thing to do is climb up to the platform and shoot an arrow at him. This triggers him and his companions. They will rush you. To deal with this go up to the top and use the narrow passage to ensure only one at a time can hit you. You'll need a good shield. Hit and retreat. Keep away from them as they hit hard. The aim is to get him to hit in front of you then smash him on the rebound. Avoid the open areas at the bottom and to as they will surround you. When you have to just run across them to the next narrow bit. It took me ages to kill him first time, but once you have proof of concept it is quite straightforward. Just don't get cocky or he will smash you.
Be careful healing Always create a good space. It may be helpful to have spare humanity. Don't expect to win first try.

Get Agility to 30, that’s basic Amateur. It is endurance to 30. Dexterity doesn't need to be that high. Though if you have a weapon that scales with dex it helps.

Games: not much time, fortunately Octopus Traveller is a fast-moving game. I've recruited Olberic as my third party member and am just finishing his first chapter. I love his ability to challenge the whole town, old ladies and all, and leave everyone in his wake knocked out and with a halo of stars. However, this has also been the first time I had my backside handed to me.
TV: more of The Crown.
Games at The Other Place: why is Stuart Dredge's report on the best mobile phone games 2018 from March pinned again to the top of the games section?

Hello
Yesterday we took the train to Leeds for the day to attend our younger daughter's graduation ceremony. However our plans were nearly scuppered by a fire alarm hoax at London Victoria which resulted in the evacuation of the station in the morning rush hour and our train being stranded just outside the station.
The driver was advised to return the train to Clapham Junction. This involved the driver having to pass through a crowded, standing room only train to get to the opposite cab. When he finally got there he was told the station had reopened and he had to make the same trip back through the train.
We finally got into Victoria 40 minutes late and only just made our connection at King's Cross.
Great story. Compelling — and rich.

My train was an hour late to Sheffield yesterday as there was a train on fire near Chesterfield.

My chauffeur phoned in a hoax bomb threat to Paddington this morning and delayed all the trains. A really giggle.
