Hello all. Boy has returned from his second morning session at nursery, and from what I can make out... he bloody loves it. So that a plus.
I also played some Max last night. A few more trophies grabbed - the only ones left are around racing, and I'm not sure I can be bothered.
Oh, and congratulations to the assembled anniversary people. And Melvazord.

I couldn’t get on with the racing, gave it up as a bad job, it’s always been the thing I hated most in gta games too

And also, being asked to go out on site with the client but not being told when is infuriating. I want to go for lunch but I can guarantee that as soon as I do, that’s when it’ll be.

Killed it, what’s everybody having for lunch?

Sweet and sour pancake rolls and fried rice. You have to time the lunch queue to get the right person, because some of the tight fisted canteen bastards will only give you one roll instead of two, as if it was their money beings spent. Luckily I timed it correctly and got the full two rolls.
4 stars.

Fried egg in a round pitta bread. Perfect shape for the egg. Fusion cuisine at its finest.

That is what flammkuchen looks like. The wiki page makes it almost sound like something that isn't pizza but gives the game away at the end. Nice try though. I'm having a salmon & salad sarnie

Cheese sandwiches. Too much black pepper.
Congratulations to everyone who has found a mammal too stupid and weak to leave them for a number of years.

Breaking news: spotted two kids ~12 years old, zooming around Saltdean on their bikes, one of them with G'n'R's "You Could Be Mine" blaring from their phone.
Even better: one of them had long ginger hair.
The LA storm drain has nothing on Saltdean.

It's brave of Shenguin to step to WeeCooper and 'The Sarge'. I'll miss him round these parts.

Over the weekend I was listening to an interview with Russ Pitts, whose aim it is to revive the Escapist magazine. Apparently there had been all sorts of undesirable politics going on behind the scenes in the past, and he aims to restore the Escapist to its former glory by tempting some of the old contributors to return. I feel that this might be a good thing, it was very distressing to see it collapsing and people losing their jobs. Anyone else interested in this project?

I was hoping that a subtext of self-deprecating irony came through, but after some consideration it perhaps just looked bitter and rude. I should apologise, but then I'd just end up apologising for all my posts.
Jacket potato? In this weather? Brave move.

I have bought my books for our impending holiday: Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (about how shitty the septics were to native Americans) and In Harm's Way (about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis). So just some light airy reading.
Last years holiday it was Apollo 13 and Black Hawk Down. Holidays cant be ALL cheery.

I know understand how Melvazord sustains his grumpy outlook through his holidays. Can't have him coming back all sunny and relaxed, a changed man who exchanges good natured jokes with his younger colleagues at work. 'tis not natural.
