I had a busy weekend and sadly no time for games. Went to free festival down the road which was families at one end drinking beer by the main stage and teenagers and white fellas with dreadlocks getting stoned at the other end with the DJ stage. Also had a few drinks in town and a disappointing burger. It's still too hot.

Morning all!
Boy's birthday party was a success yesterday. Though it sounded like murder at times, no actual blood was shed.
No games last night. Watched a couple of YouTube things on photography, and then started the sixth series of Community courtesy of All4.

Apologies Amipal, I simply could not resist. Well, you've got to get your post volume up somehow.

I have just gone overboard with the like button. I'm putting it down to fake over enthusiasm to get through the fact it's another fucking Monday.

Good morning boxers,
Games: None!
Charity football tournament: played.. unfortunately not very successfully.
Went home to see my long suffering mother, met a friend for a nandos and a few too many beers. Returned home and watched Paddington 2 with my mother and more beer.
Felice- what part made you cry? Wet blanket.
Today is going great to be A day for KFC.

My lonely bus replacement song of the day is Bladelores by Autechre.
It may not be for everyone's taste, but when you are cruising down the whatever A road connects Chesterfield to Derby this tune is fits the bill nicely.

Morning!
Busy Saturday, then did nothing but game on the Sunday. Good weekend.
Games! A decent Humble Monthly package this month, and a couple of good games for the pre- purchase of next months, meant I had a couple of new games to try out, Tales of Berseria and The Surge mainly. ToB is pretty good. Typical action JRPG with all the usual elements, impenetrable combat instructions, pervy costumes for the main female character and a dead relative to kick everything off. It hasn't grabbed me completely yet, but it's entertaining enough. The Surge is your typical souls- like (probably tried by a few of you in here before) but with some nice added extras. Set in a more futuristic setting everyone has exo skeletons. Your gear upgrades come from targeting enemy body parts. Just didn't resonate with me though. Killed first boss then dropped it.
Also played a good chunk of Norman. Landed on a red star planet with weird rocks that looked like they had tractor beams coming out of them. The first planet that actually looked unique. Couldn't enjoy my time there though as the sentinels wanted to kill on sight.

I would have thought Autobahn by Kraftwerk would be more suitable. But then again, I'm just a junior employee.

Right then, you can all make your own sodding teas. I am a full member, which is 'handy' for Saturday mornings in Plymouth.

They don't appear to be touring in the UK to promote it. I've seen them once live in a cinema in Manchester a few years back. No crowd interaction whatsoever and the occasional head bobbing above a mountain of gear.

Hi!
I am tired. My face is tired etc
Games: Grans Tiramisu. It turns out the daily races re now weekly races. what a load of shit. Best result: coming second in a race where the game predicted I'd come 14th. Good times. Fourteen Nights: I played a load of 50v50 games, which is the only way I'll probably get another win (old man sobs). Best moment was killing the last opponent to get a win for the team, rounded a structure and there he was and the last remnant of twitch reflex left in my decrepit body kicked in and I shot him right in the face. I have completed the week 1 and 2 challenges and have 1 challenge each to complete from weeks 3 and 4, so actually I'm doing alright.
Work: Only the best part of 3 decades until I get to retire* and the die. Looking forward to it.
*by retire I mean they find me slumped over my desk, they take my pulse, then put a captive bolt to my head and shout "this ones done, bring in a new one". CHA-CHUNK

Got off to a great start on Norman’s Sky, started off on an icy death planet, had a tense moment hiding from a sentinel after it didn’t like me breaking up a few rocks. Finally managed to escape and went to the next world it wanted me to go to, which just so happened to be a radioactive death world. Great stuff. The creatures seem to have had a tweak, came across a flock of giant rabbit creatures that stand up and walk on 2 legs. Thank goodness they were herbivores, I had visions of the Galaxy Quest goblins chasing and trying to kill me.
Then had a blast on Wardor, taking out a few orc captains while I try and remember how all the buttons work. I also downloaded Witcher 3 and Dark Souls remastered, so I’ve got those to dive into as well.
