It's Yakuza set in rural/small town Japan with Animal Crossing's pacing and the humour that is accidental rather than intentional. The terrible English dub can be changed to Japanese, which I guess you would do if you're not nostalgic for it. |

It's a life simulator. Walk to shop, shop is closed, wait for shop to open, go home, go to bed. There is some sort of story to it. Something involving avenging a murder by getting a job as a forklift driver.

I think it's one of those devices they briefly discuss selling in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels when desperate for money but ultimately went off the idea as the fruits of their labour would take too long to be realised. |

I bought Guacamelee 2 because platforming games with Mexican music playing throughout is exactly what I'm needing.
I almost bought Shenmue 1 and 2 as well but like why?
WHY? My mate bought the original Shenmue on a Jap import (Dreamcast), trying to play it was, um, difficult. He once spent weeks working a a forklift driver in the game for cash and seemed to enjoy it. |

That's pretty much all I remember of Shenmue, forklift driving. Still have fond memories of it, though. |

I would of bought Shenmue by now but having watched the Shenmue endurance run I don't think I can bring myself to do it. Its like Yakuza meets deadly premonition or something.

I drove a forklift once. Bit disappointing if I'm honest, although I was quite drunk at the time I saw a few comedy forklift crashes in my supermarket work days. They would never let me drive one though, which was probably for the best. |
