Morning all! I went for a Wagamama's last night and then played Shenmue when I got home.
That game is terrible, but like... I think I love it.
PES should be at home today.

Good morning, Today is my 42nd consecutive Saturday. Unemployment is the best. I've been meaning to ask this for a while, Mr Faceless. Were you pushed or did you jump? Jumped. Fourth restructure in 7 years. I managed to avoid the axe in the first three, but figured now it was time to take the money and run. Starting a new job on Monday. I'm just hoping they are ok with late starts and lunchtime drinking.

Amipal. At risk of stating the bleedin obvious, Witcher 3 is the best. Better than Skyrim. The absolute best. So long as you exclude the souls games of course, which are actually the best.

Could someone please tell Amipal that following his comment about RDR he is now dead to me. It probably didn't help that I kept getting hit by bugs. Or that the PS3 version was a lower resolution than the 360 version. Or that I never made full-use of the dead-eye function. Or that I kept falling off my horse when doing the "it's soooo good!" crossing into Mexico.

In the Dark Souls world, I believe they call it 'gitting gud'

So what class to choose in destiny 2? Not the one that does magic obviously as that's for charlatans.

Hello all, I’m alive and currently on a train to Bratislava. I think I have all my internal organs. Prague was lovely, had a fantastic time, Vienna was a bit disappointing. Did have some sachertorte from Hotel Sacher though, so that’s something crossed off the list. Wandering round Vienna and seeing all the architecture did give me a hankering to play Empire:Total War again. Or start another Total Warhammer campaign as the Empire.

I thought Witcher 3 was rubbish. Far too hard and I spent the last hour playing it running around in some caves with a wizardess looking for glowing engravings of horses or something.
In better news today is my Friday and I plan to play ganes in my pants all day tomorrow, hoping for an early delivery of DQXI.

I wish you all a good late morning.
Last night: no games, some episode of QI.
However, while I've been away I have amused myself by playing more Octopus Travel. I'm now 43 hours in and I've only scratched the surface, although I've made some progress. I'm attempting to level up all eight characters at the same time, because I'm in favour of equality and it's fun. I have:
- finished all eight first chapters, i.e. have now all characters available for my party
- finished chapter 2 of Primrose's story and started chapter 2 of Therion's
- discovered two second jobs (cleric and scholar) that I've given to Primrose and Tressa respectively
- survived and beaten only one optional dungeon because the game is brutal. There's plenty more.
I also read an article that said the game was sexist rubbish and then continued having spoilers for some stories because the author didn't care for spoiling such sexist rubbish. It made me think more about the game's stories and like it even more.
As Felice said recently, you don't have to be intelligent to play JRPGs, just very patient.
My only regret is that it's keeping me occupied now that Monster Hunter has come out, but actually, nah.
tldr: Octopuddle Treacle is a brilliant game

Tent Hen, so Primrose is your main? No, it's Cyrus. There are no wrong choices for a main, but he's a real asset to the party with his elemental attacks and ability to discover enemies' weaknesses. Some people might argue that it takes the thrill of discovery out of battles, but I started with him for story reasons and have got used to playing the game that way. For some reason the second chapters are slightly different levels, so I started on the one with the lowest level which happened to be Primrose, followed by Therion.

Absolutely. You need a clear afternoon to get hooked properly I'd say, play a couple of hours and you're sucked in. Possibly GOAT of the generation for me. What did you do with Ciri? I made her Queen I genuinely can't remember. Clearly the story really touched me. I think possibly the bad ending?
