Happy Birthday Destry! There's a drink behind the bar at your local spooons for you. (You have to pay I'm afraid as I dunno where you live) I know which 'spoons.

I knew Ronnie & Anne Corbett very well, which is the 132nd worst kind of boasting. Where were you when we were doing celebrity boasting? You would have won hands down. On second thought, let's not do it again. Agreed. The stories I could tell though.

Well done on going another year without dying, if that's what you wanted to do.

Threatening to dox Destry? Not very nice behaviour on his birthday. Lentil soup coming along nicely. Though Mrs Crank asked me to add split peas as she likes that. I have - but I wasn't happy about it. Tinkering with the classics can only lead to civilisations collapsing. What's everyone's method for removing lentil scum? Slotted spoon? Kitchen roll? Tea strainer? Throw it in the bin and have a nice steak instead?

Thanks all. Happy Birthday Destry. I didn’t realised ages went up that high. The fire brigade is on standby for when I light the candles on the cake.

Hello Today is my birthday. So it is! It says so in your profile. That's proper legit. I checked that, for some reason. Got a little shock when I saw that beneath the day and month was his post count: 1,903... On the plus side, if Destry were to start spamming the box, he might be able to give the illusion of youth Happy birthday Destry.

Is that a euphemism for 'sexytime'? I could tell you that I know his nephew, if Nazi relatives boasting wasn't the 16th worst kind of boasting. Also Adolf Eichmann's son. I knew Ronnie & Anne Corbett very well, which is the 132nd worst kind of boasting. You'd have thought they'd have made enough money throughout his career to afford more then a second floor flat wouldn't you?

Evening all! I am in Atlanta, awaiting a flight back to sunny England, arriving at 11am tomorrow morning.. The rest of my Mexico trip was amazing, great people, great country. I'll be bothering you all full-time again from next week, I won't be furious in the slightest. Atlanta bragging I liked the time there visiting my buddy. Was warm even in winter... Horrible journey via Chicago tho from UK. I'm planning on a Mexico trip, any advice? Where were you again? The airport was lovely..! It has reminded me I need to watch the second series of the same name though. Mexico was great. We went to: Mexico city, Oaxaca, Merida and Tulum. It depends on how long you've got really and what you're interested in doing. Mexico city is full of museums/food/different districts, we spent the most time there about 5 days. Oaxaca is beautiful, a very small city, full of music and culture. It's also good base for Monte Alban which were probably my favourite temples. Merida/Tulum are near the south we flew out of Cancun, you could stay at one or the other but Merida is a nice town, closer to Chichen Itza, Tulum is heavy on the traveler vibes, but has nice beaches and close to the better cenotes. There's also a big poverty difference between the two areas, we flew between the two it's a long way for a bus. The only place we wanted to see and didn't was San Cristobal and Palenque, but it's a large detour and wasn't worth it for us. In general the people are so friendly and the food is amazing (brush up on your Spanish) I couldn't recommend it enough, pickpocketing aside. 4*s

Happy birthday to the supreme leader!
And Destry.
Hello all. I've been up to mid-Sussex to meet up with my brother and sister-in-law. She's an idiot. Still, the boy's all got along and had amazing fun.
Lunch: leftover jambalaya. With extra chorizo.

Do you follow a particular recipe for lentil soup? Mine always ends up awful. Depends how much you want to make. Roughly this: 1 large onion, 4 carrots, 1 clove garlic, 2 stock cubes - ham (or veg if veggie), 350g red.lentils. Soften onion & garlic in olive oil/butter. Chop or blitz carrots. Add to softened onion. Cook for a few mins. Wash lentils in a seive and let drain. chop stock cubes and throw in pot, mix round and cook for couple of mins. Add lentils. Mix round for a couple of mins. Add boiling water. Bring to boil. Boil for 10 mins reduce heat a bit and leave on a good bubble for at least 40 mins. Skimming scum as you go. Eather blend it or eat as it is.

Killed it.
In the kitchen "peeling potatoes" Aka pocket munching chocolate buttons from the fridge.
Reading earlier about folk team killing in blops battle royale mode and stealing their team mates stuff. Why doesn't this surprise me?

Lentil soup chat: I hadn't heard of split peas in lentil soup but I'm open to new ideas. Lentil scum: slotted spoon, because why else would I own a slotted spoon? I don't do eggs Benedict.
I would use smoked bacon instead of ham, probably also a cubed potato or two. Now, my mother would always put a couple of prunes into the soup. It gives a lovely sweet fruity balance to the salty soup, but my other half won't tolerate fruit and nuts in savoury dishes (unless I can hide them, then he says how nice the dish is. Ignorance is bliss).
