Andy Ritchie has a reputation in Scotland equivalent to Matt Le Tissier - ie probably brilliant but probably couldn't really be bothered. Ritchie was before my time, but I remember Chic Charnley as another. Absolutely immense footballer but never got near a big club or the national team because he was more famous for being overweight and chasing people away from the Partick training ground with a samurai sword.
