Morning all! It's warm dry and comfortable where I am, and the locals are friendly. Is this your Christopher McCandless moment?

Afternoon sods.
I am back to work after a 3 day weekend. Paradise lost.
A small child wrapped in blankets was handed to Mrs G in the dark this morning, with a hasty message about handing it back on Friday. No we are not branching out into child slavery, but have been cursed with a numb-nut of a daughter in law who thinks leaving a tumbledryer unattended in a bedroom is a good idea. After a lecture from the fire brigade, they aren't allowed back in to the house til it's made good, so we are in unexpected loco parentis for half term week. Mrs G has taken on the role of parentis, while I am now officially loco.
OTTM! - The Japanese cheesecake should have been fluffy, but was in fact, rubbery*
*Insert marginally racist punchline here

Oldest trick in the book.

Not me, in case you hadn't figured that out already. I like how the writer is so disturbed by his fantasy that he had to have it discussed in a national newspaper.

Good morning etc Dark Souls: Seath the scaleless is no more. I'm on a mission to get it finished before Tent Hens copy arrives. No pressure then. I've filed my complaint, but this might take a while.

Got my new graphics card arriving today, still not decided which game to get to break it in. Probably COD, but Skyrim SE and Wolfenstenin are also in the mix. Watched some Iron Fist last night then had an early night. One ale (Hobgoblin) was drunk. If you've got one drink to have them a hobgoblin will do it. A winter ale?

I’ve got a tumble dryer in the spare bedroom. Been there for years. Still not burnt the house down.
The fire brigade can be very judgemental.

It was the bog standard one from an ale multi pack from Sainsbury's. Felt wintery, had it with a steak pie.

I also had a Goblin last night. Mine was consumed with some Irish leek and Guinness sausages. A winning combo.
4 stars.

In other news, I have already had a reply from Alex at the customer service who's looking into the case of the missing Dark Soul. Good man. Faceless Your only chance might be Royal Mail fucking up the next delivery, too, but I wouldn't put it past them. Speaking of Alex and Dark Souls, last night I was amused to find that Alex Olney had made another video making a mountain out of a molehill with the help of his friends and relations. I totally agree with him and if he can't get Bandai Namco to patch this no one can. Edit: I particularly appreciated Guru Larry as Freelance Granola Mixologist Bradley Charisma.

From Kotaku on August 21:
"The build we played was a little funky, the A and B button functions on menus were reversed so you had to hit B to confirm and A to back out of a menu, but from what I could tell speaking to the rep this was an issue specific to this build of the game, not a design choice."

Interesting but weird. What does that even mean? No one made a decision to assign the menu functions to these buttons? "Honestly, it was already like this when we found it!"

Canada post is on strike and I've ordered some candles and soaps for delivery. I'll probably get them on the other side of Xmas. Don't judge me ok!
