Thanks for rhe advice Toolio, and the kind thought, but I am NOT depressed - I have a massive collection of physical issues to deal with and I get fed up when I get treated like a doddering old idiot. I'll grant you doddering old fella, but I am nobody's fool. You'd be welcome to my home as a friend and gamer as long as you left your professional self outside.
Friday was really bad; I'm wrecked - 2 separate visits with legs exposed to the air for 2 hrs. and long scrubbing of the wounds. I already have a hospital appointment this Tuesday, and get an automated call at 4.30pm asking me to confirm or cancel a WEDNESDAY appointment ... I ring the hospital to try to find out wtf is going on and get a message saying that all the office staff have gone home call back Monday ...
I'm guessing that's the emergency op or a preparatory to the op... so I have had to confirm I'm attending any one of 40 different departments, at drop off points up to 2 miles apart from each other ... So I can't book any transport, etc etc ... No letter Saturday either
Chumbles+NHS=Mushroom treatment (keep in the dark and chuck shit on)...

Morning Chumbles, morning Toolio.
Toolio, coffee, white, no sugar please.
OTTM: It seems my digestive tract is no longer able to cope with madras strength curries. The following mornings are becoming increasingly intolerable.

7:40 am. A new tradition is taking place and I'm totally digging it. I ask my kids, Levi and Diesel, to make me an instant coffee and bring it to me while I'm sat on the sofa scratching my arse. Unfortunately they just call me a "poo poo head" and demand I put Netflix on. They are like the world's shittest butlers.

Good morning,
Yesterday I played football and then went to the pub, for 8 hours.
I watched much sport; England (not too bad), Spurs (close shave) Bellew (garbage).
Today, my head hurts.

Morning. My little butler is at the bottom of the bed watching strictly on an iPad. She slept till 7.30. Praise jeebus.
Games. RDR2. Mooched about really. Came across an O'Driscoll's camp, rescued a lady from under a horse, me'n'Hosea stole a wagon, killed an elk, killed a bear. No legendary beasts yet.
Norman's sky. Remote watched my pal play it a bit while we chatted. Ffs there's a lot to that game. Could not be arsed.
OTTM. We all know Trump is a piece of work but “logistical difficulties caused by the weather” ffs.

Morning.
We are minding the diva child again lat night. You'd think as this is a reason to allow parents some quality time they'd have thought better than to drop her off with a bag of dirty laundry, a tambourine, and a fucking recorder.

I set my alarm for 9:30 a.m. but it's a formality; my hubby wakes me up when he goes to the loo around 8 a.m.
Once I'm up I throw up, I mean throw on my track bottoms and top (the Splatoon tee is so incredibly comfortable that it inspires me to veg out on the sofa; I own two, but I don't think there will be a third Splatoon any time soon). I then deal with the goop, I mean poop that the cat has left in the litter box. It smells so freaking bad—it’s the scent of shit and duty to your cat. I could throw up again.
I avoid jumping in the shower as I don't want to slip and break my leg. If I could, I’d stay in there for fifteen minutes as the water is nice and hot but the bathroom window is a bit draughty.
A new tradition has recently taken shape and I could totally do without it: I make tea and breakfast for the hubby and bring it to him while he watches the news. I'm like the world's most overworked butler. I don't wear makeup or blow-dry my hair (though I often give Mr Tent Rooster's hair and beard a trim so that he can be seen in public), so all that's left is giving my mother a phone call. We tried telepathy but found that telephone is more reliable.
By this point, I’ve been up for about three hours. It seems like there should have been ample time to get everything done that needs to get done, but by the time I post in the Chatterbox my avatar is smoking.

Breakfast was 2 slices of toast with Mmmm**ite, preceded by a rhubarb Activia (fuck off 0% fat with the added sugar) and then a third of a litre of Ceylon Tea.
@toolio: trying to lead me along the path of dependency on advice from therapists and social workers is a waste of key presses. But advice from Hadley Freeman; dear ghods, surely you have games you could be playing? Cooperative / competitive games like Diplomacy, Neptune's Pride 2 are excellent for housebound isolated old fogies because you meet interesting folk from all over the world ... vis the sanitation engineer in W Samoa. I asked him wtf he was doing there (he's from Lisbon}. In reply he sent me photos of an entirely deserted, endless tropical beach ...

I've been to Plymouth Hoe for the Remembrance Service.
A lot of grumpy people in the box this morning. Chumbles I can utterly understand. My wife had to see a neurologist for suspected brain damage caused by a botched 'bonce' operation, only to be told she was depressed.

We’ve been without power for a while now, it really makes you think, that it’s fucking annoying not having any electricity.
Games - Diablo on Switch, lovely stuff. Looking forward to pokemans next week.
Tenth hen - I also have a splatoon t shirt, did you get it with the game or from Uniqlo?

Commiserations on the power outage, fortunately I haven't had one for some time now. Fucking annoying is exactly what it is. I got both my Splatoon t-shirts with the games. The first one is very colourful. The second one is a great example of the in-game fashion and shows how fresh I am.

Morning all, survived the Christmas market with my wallet mostly intact. Then went to a friend’s birthday party, where a good time was had by all.
Today I’ve played a bit of RDR, where I met a man called Margaret, and robbed a gunsmith, but was unprepared for what happened afterwards.

Light snow this morning, not too chilly at -5c. Think Mrs Toolio deserves a brisk walk near the river and lunch out with nice wine.

Hi! I participated in a 5-mile trail race this morning and am now more mud than man. I did not finish last but I think I was in a different postcode when the winner crossed the line. I do feel like I have now earned the right to sit on the sofa all day playing RDR2 stuffing my face with haribos and wine. Probably won't happen.
