Morning
Cold and frosty last night. Was tempted to find a horse to sneak up behind, and see what all the fuss is about, but sacked it off.
Games! Nomansky... Was going to go ship-hunting, but as usual got sidetracked and ended up building a new base on a luvverly little orange planet. I am also now boss of a happy Gek, and a miserable Korvax... both of who have been press ganged into working in my sweatshop lab.
Unlike destry54 I tend to avoid the whispering eggs, as the things that hatch out are hard bastards. Are you saying there is something in there worth nabbing? Do you have to kill the things before you can go back to claim the prize, or is it a case of smash and grab, and then run like a mofo for shelter? Potential game changer! I'm gonna need a bigger tool...
OTTM - Dog is no longer tremor-ing. I am back in office.

I'm gonna need a bigger tool... You can harvest Larval Cores. The link (above) gives you tips on how to harvest them without being murderised by the Biological Horrors. I believe they are valuable but my two attempts to retrieve them failed. Think I'll use the terrain manipulator ploy to tunnel under the eggs... Hi
Quick blast of RDR2 again last night.
Went shopping with Sadie. Things got out of hand somewhat.
Tried to do the Horseman challenge and legged it from Valentine to Rhodes. Pretty sure I did it in under the required 5 mins but nothing happened.
Also Micah is a bit of a tool. Got me into trouble, again. Was fun though.
Tonight I plan to go a huntin' and a fishin'

My Octodad Travel Insurance success in claiming the Runelord title has made me think that I might actually have a chance finishing the game, although I think that the final boss will be impossibly difficult. It's quite clear that in this game grinding won't help you one little bit if you haven't got your strategy thought through. The Runelord outfit is cute.
I'm noticing that Keza's RDR 2 horsey article is, like Keef's on Halflife, filed on the front page under "Lifestyle" rather than "Culture". Is gaming a lifestyle now? Is the Culture desk sick of people discussing their lunch in the comments?

Games - Wharframe, I figured out how to turn off the auto matchmaking so can now play it cold and alone as god intended. The text is too small and overlaid with the chat so I'm not really getting much of the story. Something about a futuristic wheel clamp that has been slapped on your robot suit, and you need to unlock crafting stations in your ship to forge something to remove it? Utter bollocks, top game.
Pokemans - still absolutely wrecking all the old men, young lads and lasses that I come across. It feels a little unfair, great fun.

Surprisingly I know how to beat it.
Plunge attack from the gate at the start wipes off about half its health.
Get right up close and circle it clockwise.
It's attack should miss you. Then hit it couple of times.
Repeat as necessary

Difficult bosses
Lawrence in NG++++ in Bloodborne
Reason: he can one shot kill me from full health if I get caught full on.
I need human help but there are not many playing Bloodborne
Also Amygdala and Martyr Logarius in NG++++
Reason: incompetence on my part. I had both of them nearly dead and messed up.

Any recommendations from netflix or amazon? The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. I've also just started Mr Robot on prime. So far so good. Mr robot is garbage. Starts off ok, but boring as fuck not long in. |

Beating the asylum demon is good practice for later in the game, when you have to fight the asylum demon, and the fiery asylum demon.

OOh the NMS Visions update looks sweet - Shame there nothing in the patch notes about fixing a 'Missing crashed ships' bug. I Like the sentient rocks though - sods law say the planet I've just colonised will be full of 'em after the upgrade.
Re the Biological Horrors, I'd always assumed they actually came out of the eggs, rather that up through the ground. This is probably because I was doing a combination of running away, and crapping myself at the time. I will also try the sneaky tunnel-under-the-nest technique and see if anything drops through the roof. I may also crap myself and run away if it does though!

MrTiddlesShe seems ok. Bit glum when I arrived. But that might have been caused by my arrival. The 3D printer is working again. Nothing more sinister than the spool of filament was twisted and I didn't notice it not feeding properly.
