Why doesn't England want Hereford? If you want rid, we will have it. In the new age of prosperity after brexit we can use it to give our trading coracles access to the sea via the River Wye.

Hereford comes with a free map to help you plan trade routes. I'm pretty sure they only made it so they could work out if they were in England or Wales. But also pretty handy for working out the route from Scotland to the Garden of Eden.

Did Hereford United even count as West Midlands? I have always thought of them as East Welsh. Sadly they are no more anyway. 37 appearances in total. Not a great career. It is difficult to know if Icke was/could have been any good as a goalkeeper. He was already suffering from arthritis when he left Coventry at 18 without making an appearance. The 37 games represent a triumph of determination given the apparent deterioration of his arthritis. He was only 21 when he had to retire. Whoa, whoa, whoa there sheepy(2). East Welsh? All(*) of my family have the correct number of toes and ears. * Most of them

And Hereford Utd maybe no more but Hereford FC are up and going strong. I even went to watch them at Wembly a couple of years ago

Silcox, there, revealing to Rolling why the joke about Hereford being in Wales is funny(ish). It's not because England doesn't want Hereford, it's that Hereford has been a bit Welsh in the past, and because of that and its proximity to the border, there is a hotbed of anti-Welsh sentiment in Hereford -- see Silcox's joke about toes and ears. It's all skinheads and St George's flags and shooting Welshmen on Sundays* with a bow and arrow in Hereford.
*That might be Shrewsbury, to be fair.

As far as I know, proximity to the frontier does not provoke the same sorts of attitudes in Carlisle, but I suppose that could be because it's underwater for 50% of the year.

It's in Hereford as well. With a crossbow though...
And I'm actually half welsh and my wife's welsh.
My only real grievance with our neighbours came during the naughty-but-nice clubbing days in Hereford. They always drank the place dry of welsh bitter in about an hour.

I feel I should apologise . I did not realise there was someone from Hereford here.
I would have used shorter, easier words and a larger typeface if I had known.

Is this about the pedestrian zone in Hereford centre?

Thankfully I live in the big smoke now and have done for almost 17 years. Still got the appalling accent though.
People only ever come from Hereford.

Why did the car cry?
Because it was tyred and exhausted.
I've hit rock bottom.

An man buys a sports car and is really beginning to enjoy it when he sees flashing lights in the rear view mirror. He guns it and is rapidly up to 160mph when he realizes what he is doing. He slows down, then pulls over and soon the cop pulls up behind him.
The cop comes up to the window and asks, “What were you thinking, taking off like that?”
“Well,” the man replies after thinking about it for a bit, “a few years ago a highway patrol officer ran off with my wife.”
“What does that have to do with anything.”
“I thought you were bringing her back.”

Because I'm working from home, I had a delicious toasted cheese and ham sandwich for lunch.
I've also started cooking the chill for tonight's dinner, which includes some chopped chorizo and Monday-night's roast beef in it. Should cook slowly for the next couple of hours to really soften it all.
