Genuinely horrific. I hope I don't see that image again today.

I'm genuinely concerned about Destry's record collection.
OTTM: I don't recall ordering 2 saltburgers at McDonalds last night.

Danny Baker is doing a long interview with Lionel Blair on Radio 5 just now. The showbiz anecdotes from the 50s and 60s are absolutely tremendous - eg drinking with Errol Flynn and Ernest Hemingway in Barcelona. And they haven't even got on to Michael Aspel and Una Stubbs yet.

Hangover cures that could ve recommended by the experts? I'm off to find as much pig as I can and try to eat it.
Hotel was a good call, getting there from the station late on a Saturday night less so.

I survived my Christmas do as well. Started at 2:00pm yesterday, on the bus home at 8:30pm - I had consumed enough. Plus the bar tab had run out.
Surprisingly non-headachy, which is a plus. But being in my late-thirties, I expect it to launch a sneak-attack later on today.

Hair of the dog. It's the only thing that works. Get four or five pints in you, you'll be good to go.

Danny Baker is so good at that sort of thing.

Merle Evans was a circus hero!
"On July 6, 1944, a fire broke out during a Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus performance. The fire killed around 168 people. The quick reaction of Merle Evans and his band is credited with saving thousands of lives. When Evans saw the fire, he signaled that the band should play John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever,” used in the circus as the “disaster march,” indicating an emergency. The performers heard the music and immediately began the evacuation. Accounts state that Evans and his band played until it was no longer safe to do so, and then evacuated and reformed outside, where their playing helped to pace the evacuation and steady the crowd."
However, his middle name was 'Slease', which is maybe where they got the idea for that album cover.

Hangovers? Depends on level. If not quite nuclear... Irn-Bru, crispy bacon and egg roll. If recovered a bit - mild joint (couple of puffs first to test the waters) and more sleep.
Wake up. More Irn-Bru, brush your teeth. Curry. Some booze.
Your welcome.
Obviously if you have children at home then lots of the above is impossible. That's your own fault.

Morning Merle Evans was a bona fide hero. I can't say that I would have needed much encouragement to run away as fast as I could. Waiting at the hairdresser so that I can snap out of my Shetland pony impression. Then on to brave the crowds at the German Christmas market. Brexit now.

Hangover cure? A dioralyte sachet, prepared as recommended, and paracetamol to keep the hangover at bay in the meantime. Coffee if you didn't sleep well. Your welcome.
