... Alexa is still having a bad day I reckon that thousands on stuff are swamped; that and fuckwits asking: "Alexa, where is Santa Claus now?" You'll have gathered Nursey has been and applied the usual torture; I've unwrapped my 2 presents - 2 packets of Tesco Oaty Rounds Biscuits 300G = 72P (neighbour whose eldest daughter I gave my VW Polo to) and Fox Fabulously Biscuits 275G = £4 from the other neighbour who got a large box of champagne truffles from me. But at least they got them and wrapped them. Of the 31 other folk who got something from me, nada. Zilch. Xmas is living down to my low expectations...

I am more than ham and turkey than man now. Also starting to get nicely drunk on beer number 4. I will make a start on the 15 year old Glenfiddich around 5pm. I got a new gaming keyboard which constantly changes colour and had a great clicking noise to each key press. Got NMS for the PC too. Lion King and Die Hard look like the movie options.

Chumbles, your tale of xmas has brought a tear to the eye. Mrs gong and me send best wishes, and she says your lot sound a lot like her family. Chin up and best wishes.

Do you all do Christmas lunch, Christmas Dinner, or some 3.30pm/4pm hybrid?

Do you all do Christmas lunch, Christmas Dinner, or some 3.30pm/4pm hybrid? Lunch for 9 people at 14:30, just finished, overcooked the beef, again, mellow so don't care. Just about to open the presents because we're not peasants <edit> and hopefully the best meal of the year later, cold meat with fried potatoes and pickled onions

Merry Christmas you lot.
I have mostly received booze and chocolate for Christmas. And AC: Odyssey, which I plan to install/download updates for later and hopefully play at some point in Spring 2019.
I've also just found out that my brother-in-law, a man in his 40s, has never seen Ghostbusters.

Box and I'll send you something next year, that costs more than £4, on the assumption that this forum and I are still alive

6ish. Nut thing with roasties. I will mostly be eating roasties. Others will be eating beef. I need more wine stat!
Opened presents last night at midnight, to get the disappointment out of the way as soon as possible, and because we're not peasants.

I rarely agree with (/read) anything Felice Landry says but I will also send you a nice present next year. Believe it or not, you can get those big boxes of celebrations in some places for £5.

I've just got back from my Christmas lunch, we had it in the pub because we aren't peasants.
Disappointingly small amount of alcohol drunk, but I am slightly hungover from Christmas Eve shenanigans.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the words of support; my comments were meant rather more sardonically, than otherwise. In all honesty, the day has better than feared. The nurse was cheerful and not the Queen Bitch, and I wasn't given socks (my lower legs and feet are 100% bandaged)! Most of all I'm not in hospital...

On the plus side Chumbles, at least you'll have 31 fewer people to have to buy for next year

Got the cover and screen guard for my new phone so been setting that up. Moving over all the apps I "need"
Far too many.
Dinner soon. No booze yet but plan to rectify that with dinner.
Mrs C's brother in law works for a mo-cap company who he tells me are doing some work with epic. So the hands gripping guns in fornite are more realistic.

Two packs of biscuits for a polo isn’t a terrible exchange, plus you’ve still got the rest of the pack of polos.

Mrs C isn't Mrs C. She's Miss A. Mrs C's sister's husband does the mo-cap.

Even though I've not seen it, as a "proud Rangers man" I'll have to strongly disagree.
