Well i'm off on my journey to the centre of the galaxy.
Day 1 - The good ship "Far Kinaider" is loaded with cheese sandwiches and beer so i'm setting off into the black. Elite isn't a game to put down for 10 months and then just pick up like nothings changed, but into the deep end we go. I'll try and remember how to drive this thing as I go, and maybe all these odd messages about not being in the right 'mode' will make sense eventually. I don't think it likes my gamepad, and joystick wont calibrate so I have a slow roll to the left all the time but hey space is curved right? 500 light years down, 64500 to go. currently parked up near the pipe stem nebula for the night. No drama and hull still at 100%. Playing in open but haven't seen another ship for a while so must be out of the bubble now. Jump range is a tad over 30ly, so only about 2200 more jumps to plot, and i'm there... what can go wrong?

I envy you; just as I was descending into the awful 9 months of hospitalization and repeated septic shock, I decided to stick £500 into the Elite Dangerous Kickstarter campaign ... in hospital, I dreamt* in febrile hallucinations of reliving my younger voyages of trade, discovery and pirate-killing. Sadly, the after effects of that long illness means I physically cannot play it. But out there in the black you may dock at the Tafaille space station, or meet Cmdr Chumbles, Mostly Harmless, a ghost from the early '80s

Morning nerds!
I have a storming cold. I don't mean to seem too dramatic but it's the worst thing to happen to me this year.
Games? Yes! Some RDR2- up to the Saint Denis part of the game. I'm over doing all the hunting and stuff, main campaign all the way baby.
Dinner? Also yes. Cauliflower based pizza some kind hearted bastard brought over. It was crap.
That is all.

Morning all,
Coming to the end of Assassin's Odyssey, to its credit it has come close to provoking the wanderlust which Skyrim holds (for me at least).
Next up I am unsure, RDR2 is expensive, even second hand. Perhaps replay GTAV? Not played it on the PS4.
How has RDR2 met the expectations? Plenty of hype but wondered how folk on here found it?

Horse balls It’s the best. I love it, Game of 2018 for me, maybe even PS4. There’s just so much to do, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface with it.

What scubar said. Easily GOTY. The controls are pretty shit and it's fairly slow paced, but for me it's on a par with Witcher 3 and Bloodborne as my top ps4 games.

Morning all! Watched most of The Meg last night. Pretty good for a bad film. Also started taking some shots for this year's Photo 52 project. I'm hoping to make a change in my shooting/processing style and produce something a bit more fine-art, which remains to be seen. Link to last year's Photo 52 album.

I traded it in for BOTW. I found it slow, but to be fair I didn't get long runs at it to get hooked. It was mainly a financial reason for trading though as I needed a switch game. I'll probably buy it again in about 18 months when it's £20. Maybe.
I'm sure my comments will be the deciding factor.
No one has phoned in sick at work. Thank fuck.

Morning!
Thanks for all the kind words* about my new baby yesterday. In all seriousness, I know it's excessive, and gaudy, it was always meant to be. I've already turned off the lights on the back, as they were catching my eyes whilst gaming (the new desk arrives at the weekend where they'll then be positioned as initially intended).
Last night, after having realised that AC: Origins is on the hard drive I didn't swap in, I thought I'd start a new game. Kingdom Come Deliverance. So far I'm really enjoying it. Just finished the prologue and have been allowed to join the city guard. I did find it funny that my guy wanted to object to robbing a corpse for the miller, but didn't have a problem looting the corpses of all his old neighbours earlier in the game.
*Fuck you all.

Back to work and loaded with the cold. Could things be worse? They are. My boiler packed in this morning.
RDR2 - I should have probably went down the Crank route and traded it in. I've now got Yakuza Kiwami 2 to keep me busy for the next month or so and can't see me returning it.

Excellent, think I will have to pick it up. In case you still aren't sure, I think its very pretty but ultimately dull and boring, a sure sign its a quality game.

Never thought this would happen, but I kind of agree with Dankyl.
I found RDR2 to be a great game, but with too much empty space. Empty space that you spend most of your time trotting through on your anatomically well animated horse. When there was action, though, it was superb, as was the story. I'll likely revisit it at some point, I'll just need a good supply of coffee and a good nights sleep beforehand.

Games: I'm spending all day playing Cough in the Office. It's a classic, I can't stop playing, and I hate it. Kill me now.

Games: I'm spending all day playing Cough in the Office. It's a classic, I can't stop playing, and I hate it. Kill me now. You need a constant supply of alcohol based mouthwash. I would recommended swallowing it, just to get the maximum benefit.* *Warning. May cause drowsiness and a need for cheese based snacks.
