Will give that a watch. Cheers.
Lunch was oatcakes with Philly light, turkey and tomato. Then a banana.
It's possible council cuts time as they set their budget. Yippee!

Sheffield council are trying their best to sell our town library to a Chinese group so they can turn it into a hotel. Because, you know, there are no hotels in the town centre and loads of libraries all over the place.

Fol Epi and Saint Agur, to be more specific.
On Warburton's Old English White, just so that balance is restored and I won't get angry letters from Brexiters.

I have an absolutely preposterous cold. Revolting. I am in no fit state to participate in general society, let alone in the foetid bilge that is this place. I wish I was at home playing elite. Adieu! Are you a little horse? Try to avoid racing for a few days

tbf, they are saying " Note: You may want to turn your volume down a bit." This is me on every boss rush challenge. I predict that " Not the fucking Vanguard" has instantly made it to meme status.

Yea, unfortunately the video started playing immediately as I started reading. I didn't get chance to get to that part. I just played it off as an ad auto- playing on a news website. I think I got away with it*. *I obviously didn't.

No Kane today? Maybe a little girl's got him, or the Mounties. Speaking of which, didn't Toolio mention the Mounties not being on the victims side, just before his disappearance?

Will give that a watch. Cheers. Lunch was oatcakes with Philly light, turkey and tomato. Then a banana. It's possible council cuts time as they set their budget. Yippee! Sheffield council are trying their best to sell our town library to a Chinese group so they can turn it into a hotel. Because, you know, there are no hotels in the town centre and loads of libraries all over the place. Books, libraries were provided with the raison d'etre of providing materials to support folk with free access to knowledge, culture and the arts for those who wanted to learn and educate their way out of relative poverty was seen as 'too important' for the patchy provision by charitable or very modestly charged subscription libraries to continue ... and after the second world war a strong push was made to improve the provision across the country choking the alternative sources Long ages ago I was a librarian - a pretty senior (4th i/c in Bexley London Borough and before that Waltham Forest, Surrey) and libraries have been disproportionately cut since the seventies because their budgets are subsumed under sacred cow department committees, such as Education or Social Care. In '76, for example, in Surrey the Education Department had to cut its budget by 1.8%... Libraries was cut by 12.5%. This differential treatment was justified on the grounds of relative importance ... I went into one of Bucks libraries - Wendover - back in '05 and this once important library had a few reference books, racks of cheap dog-eared paperbacks a kid's play area and a coffee shop (or morning). Many libraries in the county now are mini versions of that, staffed by volunteers. Nowadays the free access to books etc is a myth... Like the direction of travel for the BBC now, the emasculation and prostitution of these institutions is taking the access to balanced information, education and putting it into the hands of folk like Murdoch, Bezos, Google and Mark Zuckerberg. All with a manifest interest in selling and / or controlling the flow of information ... I could weep for our country, our future generations who are growing up in an environment where the information they receive is often passed through the warped filter of someone else's desire to control them. What chance, even now, of an electorate capable of casting a vote on a balanced assessment of the facts? Very little - the flow of information is distorted, cut into often inaccurate soundbites which they lack the tools to assess - and succeeding generations of politicians have done their best to reinforce prejudices, fear of the other and discourage questions. And all these politicians are.so.fucking.certain. Wankers

I just watched Kill switch on Netflix, interesting little film, although it could be fleshed out more. binge watched the Expanse and the Punisher so i'm fully up to date. mild brain overload - doesn't do to watch the Punisher late at night, went on a dream crusade hunting down bad guys and lost, a lot. I think it's going to have to be fluffy bunnies and Mowgli in future and because i'm allergic to cats (and dogs), you're quite safe Mr. Tiddles (runs away screaming in my dream) don't let the cute kitty act fool you predator born and bred!
