I am pretty strongly opposed to policies which have increased death rates, increased the numbers needing food banks, increased homelessness, damaged social care, damaged the NHS, deliberately damaged Labour councils more than Tory councils. And also completely ignored the 48% remain voters and the majorities that voted remain in Northern Ireland and Scotland. And which is trashing our standing with our closest trading partners to appease extremists within the Tory party and the DUP. This seems like common decency rather than Tribalism to me. I hear you loud and clear, unfortunately I was one of the fools duped into leave, mainly because of the European stance on farming and the use of agricultural ground for rape seed harvesting. this stance completely ruins the land and makes it nigh impossible to grow root crops. I've farms in my area reduced to using the farm land for dirt bikes then having to sell it off for golf courses. We are a Tribalist group of nations as an observation of British history shows (Picti, Dal Riata, Celtic, Gaelic, Welsh etc)- joined as a conglomerate for the betterment of all. I pray they remember this in time.

Obviously I can't really give details, but I got rather sick in my last job of hearing about child abuse that could have been prevented. Saying thus; new changes have happened with medication in the NHS, painkillers such as Ibuprofen can no longer be prescribed by your GP. I suggest you check with your local GP for the list...

Saying thus; new changes have happened with medication in the NHS, painkillers such as Ibuprofen can no longer be prescribed by your GP. I suggest you check with your local GP for the list That will be a decision taken by the local Clinical Commissioning Group that they shouldn't prescribe Ibuprofen. Even then, GPs are allowed to prescribe the drug if they judge it to be in the patient's best interest. Clinical Commissioning Groups do what they can to limit the prescribing of certain drugs, as the cost of issuing medicine through prescription is relatively high (there's necessarily a lot of bureaucracy behind it) and it is often cheaper and simpler for the patient to buy the drug over the counter. Ibuprofen is remarkably cheap and widely available. I suggest you increase your knowledge of NHS bureaucracy before posting round here.

I'm not reading all that.* Thank you all very much for the birthday wishes! That was a wild party last night, and Crank and his eyebrows made a spectacular entry! I should have had a haircut myself, then the unfortunate incident with the birthday candles could have been avoided. Birthday games loot: To answer Danky's question, I had given my very generous sister in law links to Detective Pikachu and Luigi's Mansion because these were the only games on Amazon available right now at a reasonable price. I think she might not have seen the Luigi's Mansion one, but I'm not drawing her attention to it as she has already spent far too much money. She got me Detective Pikachu, but she also pre-ordered Final Fantasy X/X2 AND Final Fantasy XII for me! I'm very happy. Will Nintendo do the decent thing and bring the Luigi's Mansion remake to the Switch? I doubt it. Meh. Pixel gender choice: If there is an entirely equal choice for playing as a male or female protagonist I'll usually go for female. If there are different abilities/personalities/story arcs associated with the choice between male and female I go with whatever takes my fancy. Poolitics: I'm finding it ironic that an issue that was threatening to split the Tory party has now split the Labour party. Classic doing it wrong. *Shit, I think I might have read all this. Well, most of it.

I am and have been taking meds for a number of years (the great unwashed). my IB and Citirizine is now down to me, what I was told is that the NHS will no longer allow them on script, because the DWP say that too many people are using it as an excuse for disabilities...
By all means ask me if you wish to know the details as to why.

The other night I was invited out for a night with "the girls." I told my husband that I would be home by midnight. "I promise!" Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easy. Around 3 a.m., a bit blitzed, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed 3 times. Quickly realizing my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution (even when totally smashed), in order to escape a possible conflict with him. The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, and I told him midnight. He didn't seem disturbed at all. (Whew! Got away with that one!). Then he said, "We need a new cuckoo clock." When I asked him why, he said, "Well, last night our clock cuckooed 3 times, then said, "Oh, crap," cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the cat and farted."

Ibuprofen is remarkably cheap and widely available. I suggest you increase your knowledge of NHS bureaucracy before posting round here. unfortunately this comes directly from my pharmacist and GP! Yes, the CCG will have told them not to prescribe Ibuprofen. The GP has every right to ignore that, if s/he wants to. But the GP probably wants to play ball with the CCG, and is more or less happy to blame someone else for not prescribing it. NHS England produces guidance recommendations on what items should not be routinely prescribed in primary care, which includes readily available medicines for conditions which lend themselves to self-care. The local CCG will then interpret this for GPs and work with them to reduce prescribing of all medicines that are easily and cheaply available. However, crucially, at any point the GP has every right to ignore this advice, and prescribe any medicine which s/he is competent to prescribe and judges to be in the patient's best interest. Are there any other points of NHS bureaucracy you would like me to explain to you in painful detail?
