Morning all,
After my CEX debacles I decided to turn on bloodbourne. great move. Definitely the type of game to play when you're already cross. So turned it off in favour of MO- into the cooking land which I believe is the last level? Great game.
Also decided to drink some whisky, cardhu rock amber- I have no idea if this is good or bad whisky. But it was nice.
Today is my Christmas lunch.

Apart from a break to play fives, last night was spent trying to loosen screws at the back of my oven to replace the heating element. Three out of four came out eventually, and the fourth has now been mashed and will need to be drilled out by someone from my work. Nothing like a DIY problem to make you look stupid when you work in admin at a construction firm...

Played some more FTL last night on my new save. I breezed through most of the game without too much difficulty and then got utterly murderised by the flagship at the end. Four stars.

Bit more Stardew for me last night. Spring year 3 and I'm almost done. Perfect rating from Grandpa and just a few more achievements to go, museum, cooking and fetch quests. Museum will be the biggest test of my patience, RNG based achievements are the worst.
TV wise, watched Peaky Fucking Blinders. Tom Hardy stealing the show, again. I think this is the only show I actually look forward to watching each week now. Also caused my most guardian comment ever on the episode recap, kindly asking people to ignore an actors skin colour.

My recent playing of GT Sport came in handy this morning when I turned into a junction and there was a heck of a patch of black ice. Using all my skills, I took my foot off the brake, popped it down a gear and glided into the corner like a pro.
It helped that I was doing about 5 MPH rather than 150, but whatever.
I got a nod from the van that was driving towards the junction, making me feel like a REAL MAN.
Back in the video game world of GT Sport, in a Gr4 race I qualified 4th and was fighting for 3rd or even 2nd at Suzuka, when I made a massive error and slipped down to 6th. Fought back to 5th. Made a massive error, slipped down to 7th. Fought back to...well, you get the picture. I finished 9th and made a proper twat of myself.
My face is a massive error.
Switching races to the Alsace village, I qualified 10th and finished 7th just by calmly going round the track and not falling off it like everyone in front of me. To be fair to them, it was a shitbox of a car they'd given us, no fun to drive at all, just all over the place.
An appropriate number of stars.
Star Wars day is Saturday for me, so shut up.

Hi.
It's a tad wet round here.
Last night I mooched about in steep. Opening up a few places. It's brought across stuff from the demo that I played but I may try to start afresh. Pulled off some sweet tricks on the snowboard. Crashed the wingsuits.
Hopefully finishing the Xmas shopping this morning as I'm off. Got my daughters nativity this afternoon.
If it wasn't the above mentioned festivus play I'd go see Star Wars on the sly. Dunno when I'll get. Between Xmas and NY probs.

Office Xmas party yesterday. 10 hours drinking. I feel most unwell. I woke up this morning to find a jar of goose fat in my coat pocket. I have no idea how it got there, so I can only conclude it must be a Christmas miracle.

Only in two episodes (so far) but steals them both. Although, if you didn't like his first appearance you probably won't like him this time either (he might as well not have been in s3). |

How's everyone? Stupid work has left me little time of late for shirking hence my general lack of posting. I see the Grauniad is still languishing.
Games - PUBG & The Division. TCTD is almost a new game since 1.8 dropped and I'm enjoying it a great deal, not in sustained bursts like I used to but for an hour or so it's ace. PUBG on Xbone is surprisingly decent, i'm way better with the controller than i was on PC. I even had an 8 kill round the other night. A few Chicken Dinners too. I bought Gang Beasts this morning too after being skelped by the PUMP! Train on WhatsApp. Games chat.

Morning, Yesterday mainly screwed up by power cut, really hope that they've found their faulty cable. Fortunately I had downloaded a document to work on before the Wifi went, on a fully charged laptop, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. But no games. Also, Fuck the Daily Mail That goes without saying. |
