The Witness does look interesting. The review I just read reminded me of Myst.

I too have been tempted by the Witness for a while now. I fear it may require a higher number of smarts than I possess though.

I can't help but suspect any response from them is likely to be somewhat muffled and mumbled.
Edit: despite the evident dexterity of their tongue.

I'd like to hear from bumlicker before committing to The Witness. The Witness, Wikipedia. Myst yes. yes that's the directors real name. interesting looking game. no i'm not Bumlicker in disguise. I get the feeling that name sounds better in Austro-Germanic, (Baumlicher) maybe there's two of them, both brothers. Klaus and Ivor jus' sayin' peace.

I'd like to hear from bumlicker before committing to The Witness. On your comments I just UT'd a 'The Witness' walk-through, it does look interesting. seems to be available on PS4, Xbone, and a bunch of platforms. think I will start to save my pennies for an X and get back into the gaming world. I miss it *sob* *i'm such a child... edit- but if it keeps your mind young....

I too have been tempted by the Witness for a while now. I fear it may require a higher number of smarts than I possess though. Further to my previous posts on The Witness, I've watched the first walk through on UT it lasted about 16 minutes, and I have to say the puzzles do look fun. I watched/survived quite well, so I think this might be the catalyst I need. It certainly got my brain juices working. note to self pause more for more time..

The Witness is very good game, until you hit a brick wall. I eventually consulted youtube for one answer then lost interest after feeling like I'd cheated.
Anyone played Braid? It's by the same guy.

I did not complete The Witness. This may not surprise you.
Pretty. Some nice atmospheric locations. Only very occasionally induced a controller hurling rage.

I'll try and refrain from posting for the rest of today - nurses called without warning = no morphine = the kind of scale 10 agony that no amount of post proc morphine will control - if I do post ignore it. Situation normal for most of you ;}

The study is now wonderfully plastered. When my partner enquired as to how long we had to wait for it to dry enough for us to paint it, my answer of "seven days" was met with a sigh and an eye roll.
I then suggested a shorter duration of "two days" - and the response seemed even more annoyed.

The write up says that there's one puzzle that maybe only 1% can complete. the game has an 80 hour completion time give or take, probably not including the '1%'
