Evening!
I see you've all gone 'apocalyptic' again. Good times.
On my way home from work this morning I saw a bloke, looking about mid 50s to early 60s, sat outside a pub with a pint. It was 6:35am. I was left wondering whether it was an early start or a late finish. So, which one of you was it and was it an early start or a late finish?
Ganes? Nah mate, busy sleeping.
TV? Almost done with The Last Kingdom. Enjoyed it so far and will be looking forward to s4. 4 stars.

Correcting what I took to be an inaccuracy in Ozymandias Kane's post, but I took no joy in it. Ever since I got really haughty over NHS prescribing policy I've been trying to avoid doing it to him again. In the words of the late, great, Cobblers: You berk.

It serves me right for not doing my homework like a good student, although a lack of coffee at the time is my excuse -(and I'm sticking to it)! learning is what we should all do even right up to our old age, it helps for enhancing humanity's knowledge base. Now where the hell did I leave my brain - oh I know it's beside my meds next to the ion drive chamber! edit:(you think I jest)!

I have a deadly jelly baby, which I'm prepared to use. [EDIT] Given Brexit, that's probably all we will have in the arsenal. See amipal for details.

My suspicion is Shenguin has well developed fallout maps. He knows which bombs need to explode at ground level and which in the air, depending on wind speed and direction.

In terms of the Tsar Bomba, they did just make one. Because it was actually accidental - they didn't intend to make something so powerful.

In terms of the Tsar Bomba, they did just make one. Because it was actually accidental - they didn't intend to make something so powerful. Further to the conversation, I just read a bit on it and they said that they had intended to make a 100 megaton device, it appears there was an issue with paperwork which is why it was never built that big. the write up on the Tsar Bomba - wiki says; "In theory, the bomb would have had a yield in excess of 100 megatons if it had included a uranium-238 tamper, but because only one bomb was built, that capability has never been demonstrated." After many treaties and discussions the global nuclear arsenal was reduced and most have a yeald of between 1.2 and 1.8 megatons. wiki's list of states with nukes.. "From a high of 70,300 active weapons in 1986, as of 2018 there are approximately 3,750 active nuclear warheads and 14,485 total nuclear warheads in the world.[1] Many of the decommissioned weapons were simply stored or partially dismantled, not destroyed."

Well, for those of you without internet access, Kane's wiki report is invaluable information. I suggest you read it.
