DIYblog - I'm making additional changes to my shelving by fitting two MASSIVE shelves. One is 40cm deep, the other 50cm deep. They will be used for printers, one of which is my A3+ Epson SCP600. It is quite heavy... In other DIY news, I may be taking the jigsaw to my computer desk at the weekend to shorten it from 120cm wide to 80cm. It will either be a glorious triumph or end in disaster. Printer boasting? The absolute worst. |

Windows 10 is still awful, by the way.
I’ve found the Dark Grey theme so, on the plus side, I can now actually see the screen rather than some glaring dazzle of high beams, aseptic white, lens flare effects and an 1990s Everton kit combined.
On the down side, of course, I can now actually see all the other awful design “features” and the colour scheme - which of course you can’t change, why would you want to? - is like living in Marvin the Paranoid Android’s genuine people personality.

The use of percentages in that article borders on illiterate. It appears to switch, without explanation, between percentage of people who reported they suffered harm and percentage of people in the survey in total. Also, apparently 7% of people have felt anxious about another person's behaviour at a social occasion in the last year. This seems bull-shitty. I feel almost constantly anxious about other people's behaviour at social occasions whether or not alcohol is involved, until I am at least three drinks in. And only 8% have been kept awake by someone when alcohol is involved. Do these people not sometimes have a bedroom window open in the summer at night, or do they all just live in quiet rural areas? Edit: It was my Old Empire; it was in my glass and then in my belly. |
