Diagonal neighbors are the worst. Diagonal neighbours are better. Mornin' all* I wonder if they have a Diagonal Alley alongside their home, that would be magic! *not you!

Neighbours chat. I done a bad thing yesterday. I shouted to the Jehovans upstairs after a particularly vicious banging and slamming session (them-not me). I think it went 'You bunch of Shenguins' and 'you must have a really f**king tiny cock to behave like that'. Silence ensued. I am bestest at swearing. I am also not proud of myself. I've let myself down and the team down. The missus summed it up thus, 'That wasn't very diplomatic'. Your face isn't very diplomatic!

Afternoon boxers. Big second date coming up tonight, at a mate's book launch no less. Getting nervous now. Games: None OTTM: What is up with Jack Grealish not wearing his socks properly and no shin pads?

ChumblesTry this to cheer you up.. Chumbles reads the poetry of Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings to cheer himself up. The dead swans lay in the stagnant pool. They lay. They rotted. They turned Around occasionally. Bits of flesh dropped off them from Time to time.:And sank into the pool's mire. They also smelt a great deal.

Morning! Today is my Wednesday. I was working from home this actual morning. I got up late and watched Chernobyl ep 2.
Last night I watched radioactive horrors in a post holocaust area. After the WBA-AVFC game was over I also watched the first episode of Chernobyl.
Football Bad very bad. Perfidious Albion let us down. Again. V**** were not very good though. They appear to be much less than the sum of their parts. Despite playing about 25% of the 2 legs plus ET with an extra player and WBA not playing their forwards it still went to penalties.
Chernobyl I am enjoying this. It feels a bit less sinister on TV than it did in 1986 when there were large amounts of radioactive particles drifting across Europe

I've been told Villa want to cash in as he's only got two years left in his legs, maybe that's why he doesn't wear shin pads? I'd not pay £30m for him though, massively overrated.

Afternoon bongaloos
I have been away for a while, and have missed out on the last weeks' boxes. I trust there haven't been too many bad murders, and the Dip game is still grinding away behind the scenes?
GAME! Singular. Elite. My days as a participant in Distant Worlds 2 is offically over. I have arrived at Beagle Point after a mere 4 months, and nearly 2000 hyperspace jumps. I am now as far as my ship can take me. It is an unimpressive murky brown planet, around a dim star, with very little going for it, apart from it's position on the very very edge of the galaxy.
Despite this remoteness and the time taken to get here, i arrived at almost the same time as 2 other travellers, Psygar and Jav Marlo, and so we made camp and told our tales of derring-do and space madness. Bizarrely, Psygar had carried a glowing Guardian relic all the way out here, for no good reason other than to drop it on the ground for use as a campfire, and Jav had struggled to carry 4 barrels of Lavian Brandy across the entire galaxy, which after some shenanigans with pirates along the way meant only 3 had arrived with him. He generously dropped one of these at the campfire, which we rolled around while swapping stories.
During our campfire chat, Jav revealed he has been keeping a detailed blog of his adventures, and this expedition is covered in fine detail. If you fancy a long read it may give a better insight than my ramblings here, and also covers the saga of the lost barrel of brandy. DW2 starts near bottom of page 3.

I found the experience incredibly moving. Here we were, all having taken months of travelling along different routes, never having met, and coping with the madness in our own ways, to now find ourselves as the most remote outpost of humanity, here in this desolate dark place, huddled round a glowing blue crystal. It truly gave an insight of how vast the universe is, and how insignificant and fragile is humanity, on this little blue speck of a planet we call home.
Part of me really wants to set off for home. Part of me really wants to stay here for ever. There is no route or timescale for the return, The expedition ended as i arrived, and the only quick way home is self-destruct, or shut down life support and freeze to death. This would respawn me back in the bubble, but I can't do it. not now. It will be a long journey back and unlikely i will meet anyone else in game for months. Maybe the space madness will get me in the end, but i'm going to do it the hard way. Getting here has truly been one of the best gaming experiences of my life.

Afternoon Wigglers. Has anyone in these parts played Elite: Dangerous at all? It seems to have sunk without a trace, but perhaps my finger is not on the pulse.

I still haven’t reached Colonia. Turns out the galaxy is pretty big.

Working from home, so probably hot dogs. As is tradition.
Those spoons' curries are not great.
