I enjoy the fact that "Blood" is capitalised. Part of our plastic reduction means not using liquid clothes washing detergent. What price the Earth? Problem solved, buy one large bottle of washing liquid when it runs out buy the refills. BLOOD..tired don't care*, 3 hours shopping. "Capital 'ol boy"! *do care, I'm a compassionate type, honest! edit: the use of plastic refills is offset by the fact that you are buying refills and not a new bottle!

There is some level of long term logic in liquid, you buy powder and after a while your machine breaks you pay to get it fixed which means petrol for the mechanic to get to you, increasing your footprint, you carry on using powder but more conservatively but the strain knackers the chip and thermostat due to calcium build up because the machine is using more water, so you end up binning the machine at a dump site who also use fossil fuels, you order your new ergonomic machine delivered by a lorry that also increases your footprint, so ultimately you would have been better off using liquid!

Most environmentally friendly solution: don't wash your clothes!
Maybe not so friendly on your immediate environment, but in the grand scheme of things you are doing the right thing and your great-grandchildren will thank you.*
*assuming you have, against the odds, reproduced.

If I had great grandchildren, I probably wouldn't like the little shits. Fuck 'em, and fuck their world.
Brexit now.

Most environmentally friendly solution: don't wash your clothes! that said amipal doesn't seem to have considered how they recycle his box, it gets processed and chopped up then washed through then sent by truck to landfill or an incinerator or a company that uses wood and cardboard chips for MDF type furniture, all of which creates a carbon footprint. best answer: as above! stinkys rule ko!

Evening!
Generally, the containers for washing liquid/ tabs are recyclable. Ironically, the refill packs usually aren't. Same with the new Detol cleaning spray/ refills, spray bottle is recyclable, refill packs not. Bit silly really.
Watched 'The Festival' last night. Joe Thomas being Joe Thomas in a predicable film. Still, quite funny at bits. 4 *s.

In the Eng V Aus OBO at the other place they have been referring to Heather Knight as wicket keeper instead of Sarah Taylor, when I pointed this out they quietly changed it without any acknowledgement. 4*
<edit>"Apologies and thanks to those that pointed out my Knight/Taylor mix-up earlier." They obviously read the 'box and maybe belong to it, go on fess up, who is it?

Just watched the first 15 minutes of the ENG v USA match and am just wondering how many goals ENG are going to be beaten by.
Their passing is so poor...
Oh.....

The usual. Flattering to deceive. Building up expectations. Then crashing out in the semi-finals with a half-hearted and ultimately disappointing display which the media will describe as 'brave'.

What frustrates me is that the picking apart of the corpse has delayed my 10pm viewing of BBC news.

"The role of the VAR is to ensure that no clearly wrong decisions are made in conjunction with the award or non-award of a penalty kick.".
Of course "clearly wrong" is a useless definition, missing a penalty and giving the ball away too much didn't help and we would have lost in extra time anyway, still a good run and guarantees Team GB for the 2020 Olympics

missing a penalty and giving the ball away too much didn't help Indeed. And scoring fewer goals than the opposition was the clincher.
