Mike Atherton would call it dust. And I’d call him a cheating bastard too. did you?

Evening all.
Night shift time, which means the end is in sight!
Ganes! Lots of DQB2, all of which spent on my island. Finally finished the second big build (avoiding spoilers for Tenthen), and promptly spoiled it by building a roller coaster around it. Good fun. Went to check on the farmers and found that they'd somehow grown over 1,500 cabbages. Weirdos.
TV! Finished s2 of The Good Place. Still pretty good.

Snaffled the Prime video "7 days free trial" to the BFI channel, watching, for the umpteenth time, the "Iprcress File", I love this film. There's also all sorts of other worthy films I could watch but...

Almost home. Didn't explode on the plane so I'll probably pass away quietly* in the night.
*As if
Quite peckish. Watched some American on the news this morning saying loads of people died in 9/11 without using a gun. Therefore no need to ban guns. Triffic.

And I’d call him a cheating bastard too. did you? Are you suggesting that I should be ecstatic that Smith, undoubtedly a world class batsman, should be liked because of his equally undoubted participation in a conspiracy to cheat because he cried ... You berk. And for the record I thought Atherton should never play again. About that time I quit from the team I had cofounded and was Vice Captain of because one of our batsmen attempted to intimidate the umpire and the captain would not drop him. Any person who resorts to cheating is a cheat; he or she ceases to be a games player. If I invest effort in a game and establish that someone is a cheat, I hunt the bastard down. Because the game is no longer a contest of skill, it's a waste of what little time I have left alive. Equally, sportsmen have short careers and cheats should be penalized to the extent at the least from the game they competed in. Zero tolerance. You want redemption? Pray.

No I don't, I reacted to the crying thing you posted which to me seemed pointless and sour grapes, maybe I misunderstood your point. I agree that cheats should be banned, I thought Graham Gooch, a good Essex boy, shouldn't play for England again because of the "rebel tour", a discussion for another time. What I hate is the general hypocrisy of a loud part of the English fan base in most sports that attack behaviour that they condone in their own players. Also I just realised that I'm talking to Chumbles and not Destry or scubar , mainly due to the "I" part. <edit>you berk... <edit><edit>The gif should have given it away.

Cheats should have their knees broken. No more playing days for them. Whichever country they play for.

Every team cheats or blatantly manipulates the rules at some point. There are differences in how blatant they are and how serious the attempted evasion of the rules is, but no one has a monopoly on virtue.
There is a big difference between cheating to win and cheating to lose like. Cronje did. I think the three Australians have been treated fairly harshly. The bans imposed by Cricket Australia were much harsher than the punishment the ICC handed out. They have been made scapegoats for a problem Australia allowed to develop over a period of years.
Felice I thought Gatting was worse. He went on two sanctions breaching tours and was involved in probably the worst incident of dissent in cricket, but was still picked for England.

I'm pretty sure babyfark could play Fortnite with two broken knees.
He still wouldn't win, of course.

I used to think Cricket was the shittest game ever invented that only gammons and lazy people that like standing around played, but then it was elevated to 2nd shittest when the strange people that play Quidditch as a real life game started appearing in my local park.

Sandybahookie there, showing how much of a wrong'un he is (about cricket obviously. not Quidditch which isn't even a real game)
I'm guessing, based on his out of focus avatar, that he's permanently drunk.

I can see why people want to get drunk when they watch it. Even the cheating part is pretty mundane. No excitement or drama watching a guy scratch a ball with some dirt, while hes pretending just to adjust his itchy Y-fronts.

Gatting is a shit head, "lots of people dancing around", the best thing that happened was when he poked his nose when responding to a question about where the ball hit him.

I'm watching Dirty Harry on TCM.
Yes. I know. Clint's a right wing, Republican, NRA-loving shithead.
But hey; it's a guilty pleasure.

James Stewart was very right wing, personally I separate people's work from their politics and general shittiness, unless they're called Mel Gibson. I'll paraphrase George Orwell, "just because Shakespeare wrote King Lear you wouldn't bring him back to write more if you knew he was a kiddy fiddler, it doesn't make the play bad"* *He was a bit more nuanced and the quote marks are wrong.

Clint has made some pretty decent films. There's a lot of right wing actors. You'd have a strange diet of Ken Loach films if everyone in a film had to have right on politics.
