It is wednesday. Horrible, windy Wednesday.
Morning all. Everyone still got their bins? Mine was so heavily laden with the Christmas period's refuse that no amount of wind could shift it. Even the lid remained doggedly in place.
Solid gold chat.

I wedged our bins together and against two sides of a wall and some bricks last night and happily they remained there. A couple of episodes of American Gods and some home red spaghetti (with my awesome sauce). The blister has burst and I should cut down on my drinking now I guess.

Morning
I am back at work today and not in the mood for it. My sleep cycle had drifted by about 4 hours over the holidays so I didn't drift off until sometime after half two last night. Shattered.
Christmas - had the family round and there were no major disasters. Even the oven I'd repaired myself held up against the odds.
Hogmanay - I saw in the bells playing Final Fantasy XIV, massively hung over after spending the kitty with the guys from fives the night before.
Games - I was gifted the South Park game and managed to cram in quite a few hours, despite the fact I should have been doing a lot more uni coursework than I did. After the last game, I was looking forward to a new one but it's not as good. I think a combination of the novelty of "playing and episode of South Park" having worn off and the fact they already used just about every in-joke/song/reference from the series in the last game hurt it.
TV - Started The Punisher, but drifted away from it. Binged The Good Place over the last couple of days, which is ok but probably gets more praise than it deserves.

Morning!
I finished my first play through of Root Letter last night. It was satisfying to unravel the mystery and the game ends with the dangling of a carrot to say “there are other endings to see”. I’m quite eager to see how things pan out in the other endings and may even go for a platinum trophy.

Morning!
Bit quiet in here yesterday wasn't it? Guessing everyone is still on their holidays.
Games! Bit more Yakuza. Just beat up Kuze for the third time (you think he'd have learned by now that I can kick his arse no matter what weapon he uses). Preferring Majima so far though. The breaker style is OP. Had another battle with Mr Beatdown whilst he had 90 mil with him. I was down to one hit worth of health, no medicine and he had a full bar of health remaining. I managed to get him down to a tiny sliver of health remaining before dodging backwards against a charge, rookie mistake, bye bye money. Next time, he's mine.
Films! Watched the new Jumanji and Bright over the break. Both were better than I was expecting, my tactic of beginning a film with low expectations is paying off. Jumanji elicited quite a few chuckles. Bright, whilst an utterly bonkers concept, was pretty well executed. Surprisingly good for a Will Smith film (of recent years).

Preferring Majima so far though. The breaker style is OP. Have you invested much money into Kiryu’s beast style? It’s similarly effective as the breaker style when dealing with crowds of enemies.

Morning.
First day back after 10 days off and i've already cleared my emails and have no meetings until next week.
I think I need a new job.
How are we all?

Have you invested much money into Kiryu’s beast style? It’s similarly effective as the breaker style when dealing with crowds of enemies. I have but just find it a bit slow, especially against enemies with tanto type blades. I tend to stick with the blue one (is it Thug? or is that Majimas?) for the usual groups of 3/4, purple for dodgers or single enemies and orange for big groups. I think I've got pretty much every node under 50 mil for Kiryu. Don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly struggling with Kiryu (on Normal difficulty), just find it more fun with Majima. pyjackson/dinocity/conchord - that's all great and all, but what state are your bins in? Bit odd, but I'll indulge. I didn't put my bin out until this morning so it was in fine condition when I left for work. There was an awful lot of 'recycling' blown all over the street this morning though so I expect to be litter picking the garden this evening.

We have one of those big bastard communal bins with its own personal shed. I say that as if there is only one bin but there are actually three large metal cylindrical wheeled bins in the shed, providing ample room for more or less anything you want to throw away. Its a bin users dream to be honest, and a real boon in windy weather.
In other news all of the PS plus games for this month that I downloaded have the 'Add to Library' button rather than just the Download button, which is a nice time saving feature. It allows you to add a game to your library without starting a download, so if you just want to squirrel away the PS plus games without actually installing them you can.

Good morning. I have a feeling 2018 is going to seem like a never ending series of Mondays.
My bins are in good shape thanks to all the Christmas remains acting as ballast. Two of my fence panels are at a 45 degree angle though.
No games.

pyjackson/dinocity/conchord - that's all great and all, but what state are your bins in? Still in place, even though the general waste one was emptied over the festive period. I think either the wind didn't hit as hard in the East of Scotland or our bins are made of tougher stuff as I didn't see any stray bins on the way to work.

Bins seemed ok when I left. Don't think it was as windy here. I left very late and I'll hopefully just manage to get inside the 10am Flexi curfew.
First day back. Horrible.
Played a wee bit of steep last night and picked up a couple of gold's.
Played some more modern warfare remastered. Still very poor but only opened up the create your own class thing. Need to keep in mind how bad I was at black ops when I started. With practice I managed to get to very below average in that.

Better. Much better.
Watched the second part of that National Geographic-produced Mars series - a sort of semi-biographical, semi-documentary. Rather well done, though the voice for their computer is terrible.

morning all,
Saw the Graun article about 2018 releases: FC5 nice, which animal will kill me the most? Shadows of the colossus, not played it but heard good things Kingdom Come, I expect nerdy history forums to throng with "the Venetial basinet didn't come out until after this period". After League of Nations there is now a US Medieval fighting tournament. Tasty. Ni No Kuni, really enjoyed the first one yet never completed it.
In short a decent crop.

Morning
My food waste bin was not emptied today. Nor was it last week. I have reported it to the relevant authorities.

Ni No Kuni, really enjoyed the first one yet never completed it. How far did you get? I think I left it at one of the bosses near the end, the cat king I think. I never really "got" the combat system or bothered changing from my original famliars and couldn't get past him so I packed it in. I do keep meaning to go back and finish it though.

Morning all,
Apart from continuing my assault on the Scottish people- I started my assault on Bowser at what I presume is the last bit of mario odyssey. Bit mixed about the game at the minute, a mixture of great gaming and awfulness. I expect the end game to improve things.
Dinner: pizza takeaway. Not a vegetable in sight.

Good question, I fought the main chap for the first time (you only need to get past 50% of his health) and sailed to a few islands. I seem to remember reading up on the familiars, there are a couple of OP ones which start off pretty normal. Might pick it up for the PS4 (it'll be cheap) and give it a go again. The only downside was the repetitive nature of the combat, particularly when you are trying to farm an item. But other than that it was very good, the music was cracking.
