I am struggling with my third best input device, after being crucified by the Torquemada twins. they not only managed to take the skin completely off a 2" square bit of my leg to add to the other skinless, exposed nerve areas, they dropped my trackball mouse... they then 'fixed' it by re-inserting the trackball into the housing with gloves which had enough petrol based emollient to act as an accelerant for a small house fire, thus fucking up the tiny sensors in the housing... They got the bloody emollient on the sheets, so I had to wash them hopping around on my brutalised legs and trying to keep up with my quad NP2 game.
My second trackball turned out to be a DOA and I'm now using the old trackball/keyboard combo - it's OK, but there's no fine control on mouse movement and it's clunky, heavy to hold in the air for any length of time.
Breakfast - toast, yoghurt; lunch was when the gestapo were at work so I have to wait until the pain subsides... Enough of my caterwauling...

Hello. Weird day today as I seem to have adopted my own personal timetable, complete with out-of-synch mealtimes. Still holding my nerve by not applying to the EU settlement scheme, hoping that either a) it will be changed to a straightforward registration or b) Brexit won't happen. One can dream. My passport alone should be proof that I've been living here for at least nine years; German passports record the passport holder's address, and mine, being valid for 10 years, is up for renewal next year. This most likely will not cut any ice with the "computer says no" Home Office, and unlike others I don't have a large Twitter following. In fact, I have no Twitter following at all because I'm not a twit. Was however amused to see that the BBC News channel yesterday listed the names of the Tory rebel alliance members Star Wars style. If only all of this took place in a galaxy far, far away. Speaking of escapism, Games! Dragon Quest Builders 2. Did you expect anything else? More explorer islands and dragging my feet in getting on with the story. Turning into a mad cat lady by adopting the maximum number of cats on one trip. Exploring the mining tunnels of Sunny Sands, but no luck whatsoever in finding diamonds and mythril. Had to leave the island and come back, then some seriously claustrophobic mining with the help of the flute. Came home with a decent amount of mythril, but it was a time consuming business. Left the scavenger hunt unfinished in order for the flute to continue working; without it it's not much fun. Major landscaping and building projects on the Isle of Awakening. Built new shiny lodgings and a spanking new barn for my farmers, gave my restaurant a nice outdoor seating area by the river and finally took care of my animals instead of letting them roam wild. The bunicorn population is feeling the pressure as I'm turning all of them into cat food. |
