Just out a 4hr meeting. I was slouching like Jacob Rees Mogg by the end. I enforced a strict time limit on meetings; one hour... it's for discussion/decision not fucking 'bringing-up-to-date' the idle bastards who won't read the material beforehand. If someone turned up and didn't contribute I'd ensure they were obviously receivers of information/decisions and there was fuck all point in them being there. I would also remove the need to attend the meeting from their job description, which would remove grading points from the role. One day I got a 6' 8" bloke in my office leading off at me about this wanting it back on his job description. I pointed at the files and asked him to find me any indication in the minutes that he'd ever done anything than drink tea and eat biscuits. Idle fucker couldn't - he'd sit there doodling away or staring out the window. I hate lightweight. I was cool with the guy not attending, but I didn't see why he should sit there mentally masturbating at all the good looking chicks and GET PAID FOR IT. |

Meeting chat. I spent 2 hours in a meeting yesterday afternoon, along with 19 other people. With 6 minutes remaining we finally got around to agenda item 1.
Today I am working from home, by which I mean I am eating hobnobs and watching The Punisher. It's all just gone a bit Assault on Precinct 13.

I jump in one at every opportunity.
I even ended up carrying someone in a duos game - a random stranger - not Shenguin.
It worked out pretty well for over 2 minutes. We stomped around shooting people.
Eventually he hit self-destruct.
