Tent Hen didn't get to 4000+ posts by being a one trick pony.

Shenguin made me read all that after he was giving the impression that I accumulated roughly 1,000 posts on that single day. In reality it was only about 700 posts. I feel grossly misrepresented. He also forgot to mention the obligatory Final Fantasy chat. I already watched the sweet amipal content yesterday. It's all Doom and Gloom. That and XTreme Racing, which looks a lot more playable than the SNES Mario Kart it's based on. I'm not very good at SNES Mario Kart.

Morning all! And a morning of tidying and cleaning, as we're hosting friends and family later. Cake has also been made. Amigablog - oh yes, I made some more sweet content. I bumped your like count but Doom and its clones* leave me cold. I'm glad my screaming about static being the killer of chips and PCBs has got through... * Barsoom - where you bound from room to room shooting the white apes while trying not to brain yourself on the ceiling ... Mind you, for Lynn Collins version of Dejah Thoris I'd risk it. For the ridiculously pneumatic and helpless Frazetta style (love his gorgeous colours though) version I'd probably send Tars Tarkas in. In my fact checking I discovered that David Schwimmer had a bit part in the film; never has a film had such a strong cast and so underused them. 4*

Soup made and decanted. Roast chicken for later is in the oven.
Hopefully going to pop out for a long overdue haircut in a bit.

Rather impressive considering how late in the commercial life of the Amiga that it was released.

Soup should be decanted into a crystal port decanter or gtfo.

Soup was in massive stock pot. Is now in a combination of our stomachs and several plastic containers for freezing. I decanted into the aforementioned plastic containers.

Quiet this morning here. Did anyone play days gone or metro exodus? They are on half price sale with psplus but I might try and finish off the backlog before going for a new game. Hitman chat, passed Salisbury yesterday and found a sweet new perfume bottle. Can send it on? Do you like games about Zombies? If so I recommend Days Gone. It is pretty and pretty good. I have not finished it yet. Metro Exodus Do you like games about leaving radioactive underground networks? The Metro games are generally excellent. Very atmospheric. I bought this, but I then played Last Light as I had never finished it. Exodus is awaiting its turn still.

I always assumed Shenguin had puked into his port decanter. Maybe not though.
However I am making a strong note only to accept soup from him if I see the tin being opened and decanted into a saucepand and then into a dish.

I have just received and unpacked the Preferred Mammal's new wheelchair. It doesn't come with instructions on how to attach the footrests, but it does come with a leaflet that contains a paragraph on the "method of promoting the wheelchair by oneself". The picture in said leaflet shows a completely different model, so I had to go to the website to figure it out. Once assembled I promoted the wheelchair by myself through the length of the kitchen. Wheeeeee!
It's a bit unwieldy and will definitely pose a problem if we need to get it into the boot of a taxi, but at least it can be folded ("note: when unfolding, do not pull the frame hardly for fear of damaging the parts").
It also schooled me, the accompany, in the "operation method of cross the obstacles": Cinch the handle, trample tube, lean back and think of England, got it.

Oh, I take it all back! They actually provided very clear instructions. I should have consulted item 2.8. "Tthe(sic!) knocked-down method of detachable legrest (fixed legrest is excluded)":Luckily that is exactly what I did. I still think they could have benefited from hiring a poofreader.

Hullo. I've been outside, out there *points at window*. I've never seen so many topless blokes in dirty track-suit bottoms swigging cans of lager since, I dunno, the last time I went outside.
Cockspadgers.

All you need now tenthenemy are the optional extras; the psychological impact of go-faster stripes and twin airhorns can't be overlooked. They will also help to clear obstacles like the automobiles that erstwhile pavement artists are about to artfully deposit to beautify the areas set aside for the transit of wheelchairs and pedestrians ... I am, of course, assuming that you will be adding your own selection of Boudicca's Revenge to the wheels and the dual purpose lumpen hammer you wield when practicing your performance art and testing crumple zones. I'm sure that they will be grateful for this synergistic contribution to their artistic endeavour. Here is a reminder of the technique... (They don't call her 'Dimples' for nothing.)

Xhaka the Hacker and the clown troupe that is the Arsenal defence continue to inspire fear and dread in us gooners, knowing that no lead is big enough, no opposition abject enough for them to be unable to fritter it away. "Sokratis error gifts Watford first goal, Luiz concedes penalty for second"...This is a simulation of London Colney tracking the defence training movements This is their "We are Watford" training strip...
