Last time I went to a Burns Night I wore a picnic blanket, one of those with a plaggy waterproof backing that folds up with a carrying handle attached. Not a single one of the Scots there noticed the difference, pretty sure they were all wearing the same. Proud and noble culture my arse.

Needless to say I was out my bin. I realised after my friend dragged me away.

I keep going back to those trews, they’re absolutely horrendous.
There’s been a pretty bad phase of 90’s style checked Lightweight Dance Pants (TM) going about recently but it ain’t nothing on those bad boys. Incredible. They’re going to haunt my dreams.

I love the way the trousers have grown down over his feet and may well extend deep into the earth. He could be hiding anything under there.... wellies, stilletos, DMs, cloven hooves....
