Technically I may have been further east. Sarfend, Narridge, Colchester, Ipswich are all in that weird hinterland beyond the Orient. I have also been to Gillingham.
Rhodes is the furthest non-footie east I have been. Falriaki the year it went big on the scene. I do not think that was my fault. It was cheap and cheerful.

The furthest East (and North) I have ever seen Scotland win an association football match? Edinburgh.

I have been to Swansea and Torquay which are think are further west. The furthest east I have seen Scotland win is at V**** Park in Euro 96. It is also the most northerly, most southerly and most westerly point I have seen Scotland win. Obviously they fell 1 goal short of qualifying. I saw a pre-season friendly between Dukla Prague and Viktoria Zizkov. It was a strong highlight of my trip to Prague. Even though they had no away kits real or Subbuteo on sale.

Plainmoor, Torquay. January 2006 FA Cup 3rd Round 0-0 draw. It is further west than Cardiff and further south than Portsmouth or Bruges.
Torquay were better than Blues and had a goal harshly disallowed when our goalkeeper failed to catch the ball from a corner. I am not saying we were bad but the Wikipedia entry for Torquay for that season says they finished a comfortable 3 points above relegation to the Conference. We were a Premier League side.
Probably best forgotten. The most memorable aspect was sitting in Gordano services on the way back and seeing Xabi Alonso score from his own half v Luton.
I have not been back to Torquay.

I am going to be even more in pain / stressed out / screaming and ranting than usual - the last visit one of the 'exprt' nurses decided it was a good idea to strip all the dead skin off in double quick time. Y es, she was the one that outranked the Pope. Only she wasn't too careful so she took some small amounts of fragile new skin with it. Leaving lots of exposed nerves open as I move around. Which is why I have been itching to tear the head off someone - anyone - stamp on it and boot it over Ivinghoe Beacon into the next county. It is also why sleep is a desperately rare thing. Even with morphine treatment's bloody agony; the only other painkiller that works is Gabapentin, which I refuse to take because my kidneys and immune system are already so shot that it is pretty much a 'Swiss clinic' pill for me. So that's why my once sweet, sunny nature has soured to grumpy old bastard status. My last post for the day most likely...

I really hope Outer Worlds is good. It comes out shortly after my birthday and am virtually certain I will be buying it as a consolation present for myself.

October birthdays are the best.
All the good stuff is out for Christmas, and it is still early enough to get proper prezzies

I have already ordered The Outer Worlds. It will be the best. No doubt.
Either that or it will be Mass Effect Andromeda story with Skyrim style combat

Mornin' Ah, the Captain - yes.. an interesting fellow indeed and I having spent many a moon traversing the vast Oceans of the world with him, found him to be most enjoyable company. However all good things should come to an end and hired Mr. Tiddles predecessor to dispatch him in a timely manner. I then removed the predecessor to cut the loose ends and kept the treasure for myself. One slight problem, I had buried it in the Bahamas, which has now been blitzed by hurricanes, sinking my haul to a depth of 5 miles. I now find myself searching for another victim/acquaintance to do a 'talented Mr. Rippley' on!

Freshers chat Did parents and schools make a decision in 2001 that teaching Kids to cross the road was very 20th Century and probably unnecessary given the global population problems? They seem to think that if they are in a group of 3 or more they are invulnerable to traffic and will step blindly onto any road , I've never seen anything like it. And these are supposed to be the clever ones that made it to Uni. Games chat Was going to get my first go of Blands 3 in over a week last night, pushed A to load my character, which caused a huge powercut in my whole block. Waited an hour before I had to go to the pub to escape from my fear of the dark.

And these are supposed to be the clever ones that made it to Uni. They spend £2 in Sheffield to take a 5 minute bus trip from the town centre to Ecclesall Road. Often with coffee in one hand (spilling everywhere) and a mobile in the other to which their eyes are glued to. Usually they run out of money after a couple of weeks and shift their arses on foot for the short uni trip, but every year there's this two to three week period where the bus service goes to shit.
