(They've changed some, though, to make it a little less cryptic. Did they think I wouldn't notice? Well I did.) |

I used to have to apply the flea powder to my mothers long - haired Persian*; a procedure that involved leather motorcycle gloves and jacket, a black plastic bag and a stiff whisky before, during (for when the little bruiser found a chink in my leather armour as a topical antibug treatment) and after. But the vet involved cold turkey as I had to drive - the cat is cunning ...
*Who knew that my approach was likely to mean something unpleasant was about to happen - quite often to me. Oddly, the little brute loved me; as much as a cat loves anyone.)

Prepare the cat basket somewhere it is easily accessible, but where the cat cannot see it. The element of surprise is vital. The cat need to be in the basket before it knows what is happening. This is cat transport 101.
Otherwise there will be a fight. Winning the fight is easy. You just have to completely disregard being scratched, any attempts to bite. and any piteous howling. It is much like herding Shenguins.
