TV: Stranger Things, plot now thick as some otherworldly slimy excretion. Saw an interview with David Harbour, who plays police chief Hopper. Talked how they were nominated for the Emmys and didn't win anything, then how he was nominated for a Golden Globe award but wasn't expecting to win. Checked this morning the list of winners; he was right. Also how apparently Merriam Webster illustrated the entry "dad bod" with a picture of him, as he didn't bother sucking in his stomach as many other actors would.
Graun commenting: since these days they only open comments on articles for an extremely short time I had always been too late and was generally not bothered with getting out of the sin bin. However, recently I caught an opinion piece on the Michael Wolff book that had comments just opened, so I gave the Republican Party my immeasurably sound advice. If they listen to me more often they will go far. I also responded together with others in defence of the Guardian for publishing excerpts from the book to someone who described this as peddling tabloid gossip. Two days later that comment was removed, together with my and everyone else's responses. FRANK is obviously still very sensitive and prone to a change of heart on comments that went unmoderated first.

You're gonna need a leather jacket for when you're on your hog and need to go into a controlled slide. I was more looking for something that says "dad likes leather". If you're going to pull this off, you'll need to get the headwear and footwear spot on. What's your plan in this regard? |

Don't even get me started on the dancing mini game, that was hell. The dancing mini game is rubbish, I’ll give you that. Guilty feet have got no rhythm. Afternoon! I've been out at sheltered accomodation this morning showing old dears how to use iPads/tablets. Obviously trying to get into their wills and replace the family who don't visit. Games. More modern warfare reboot and a wee bit of steep. TV. More spiral. On last episode of the wire S2. That Ziggy eh? |

Who had the best lunch then? I had a cheese sandwich. A tortilla stack. I say stack, it was more of a mulch. I say tortilla, it was pretty indistinguishable layers of sludge. Basically, the works canteen fucked up a lasagna and tried to pass it off like they meant it. Tasteless. 4 stars. |

I had a chickpea concoction with mushrooms onions tomatoes spinach and carrots.
I'd better live forever because it was awful and I'd quite like a burger.

There is a guy selling old LOTR models that came with a magazine back in the day.
He is the figure equivalent of a newsagent selling single cigs. So now have a fair few. I will paint them, may even try highlighting.

I used to have a 'Hip' style leather jacket. I fancied it was sort of Velvet Underground / John Cale. But in retrospect it was probably more John Shuttleworth.

Afternoon all, Returned to university to enjoy a lecture extolling how my Christmas festivities are likely to kill me in the long term and more dissertation writing that makes me wish the festivities could have exacted their toll in a shorter time frame. Not enjoying these cold mornings either. Ditto. Hard to beat. Cheese sandwiches, the obvious choice for Monday lunch. Yes, simple and austere. I had plum chutney with mine. Plum chutney! Sounds like some sort of hipster abomination to me. Sliced cheese, medium sliced bread and butter/margarine/spread is the only way to go. |
