I used to make rat traps as one of my first part time jobs. They were shoe box shaped and the rat would enter one end and walk through and its weight would cause a mechanism to shoot up and trap its neck against the roof with shocking force. I don't think they were humane.

In other news of inconsiderate arseholes, I discovered this afternoon that one of our recycling bins had the leftovers (i.e the better part) of a takeaway chucked into it. It was raining at the time so I've left it for now, but I suppose the only way for me to get this stuff out is by turning the bin upside down. Tomorrow better be a nice day for this. Maybe not right before lunch, though.

tenthenemy Pouches. Both of Sheba and Felix. Multiple varieties. Supplemented by cooked chicken, ham and cat treats. They eat better than we do, the ungrateful little shits. EDIT: If I catch the mouse I might keep it and get rid of the cats.

One of our stupid cats has just brought a mouse into the house. My wife shouted out and the cat promptly dropped its prey which scurried away. Now we don't know where the fuck it is. Thanks a lot cat. I can help with this situation as I have had a very similar experience. The things to do before bed are:- 1) Remove the cats collars. 2) Lock yourself in the bedroom. 3) Go to bed. 4) Make sure you are wearing footwear when you check for the corpse next morning. (I cannot stress this enough) 5) Watch out, the carcass will not be where you think but a stiff crunch underfoot will reveal all. (see 4.) 6) Be prepared to find intestines and other entrails for weeks later. Don't worry too much, they look just like Pot Noodles. Destry The damn thing will be under the fridge/freezer.

MrTiddlesThanks for the advice. 1) The cats don't wear collars (just top hats and tails) 2) The bedroom door only has a lock on the outside (Mrs D can be pretty sneaky). 3) I once managed to step on a frog, be bitten by a mouse and trip over a cat, all before leaving for work. (6th June 2011 as documented in a Guardian Chatterbox)

Although I did catch a bit of Shitt's Creek on 4music earlier. I liked it (Don't tell Crank).

I'd forgotten how good a film American Werewolf is. Great soundtrack too.
4 stars.

We now like schitts creek. It's the birthday boy that doesn't like it.
Detroit Human on PS4 remote play to an iPad while Mrs C watches strictly. All going swimmingly except the touchpad doesn't work and I need it to wash some dishes. I'd rather strangle Todd as he's an asshole.
I remember watching our cat play with a field mouse it caught when I was a teenager. Evil fucker playing with it.

So Doris is going to send the EU extension letter and not sign it. And then send another, signed, letter saying he thinks it's a mistake.
What a wanker.
No stars.

Letter of the law v Spirit of the law?
If and/or when it goes to court he's fucked.

Maybe I should give Schitt's Creek another go. Detroit was good but not my favourite Quantic Dream game. I think I would rank them thus:
Fahrenheit Heavy Rain Detroit Beyond 2 Souls.
Though I liked them all.

Presumably the strategy is to piss off the likes of Macron so much that they veto an extension. Pissing off people you're about to spend a year negotiating with doesn't sound very smart, though only if you assume that good faith negotiation is the intention.

Strategy? They're just making this shit up as they go along. And not doing a great job of it.

Hullo.
Why would you have a lock on the outside of your bedroom door, but not the inside? Ah, perhaps it's to stop the 'little people' sneaking in and messing with your toys.
OTTM: I've put the heating on for a bit. Exciting times.

I've turned the heating off. It's really getting exciting now. No thermostat? I do have a new thermostat, but I like to get my hands dirty. On/Off, Off/On. Keeps me mentally stimulated and physically fit. Who's birthday is it today? Snoop Dogg, that's who. Also, where's the sweet content amipal?

Morning. Chicken marinading for tonight's Butter Chicken. Smells amazing.
Games. Previously mentioned a bit of Human Detroit and some Horizon race car thing.
Fillums. El Camino. Was ok.
Possibly going out on the bikes later. Let's see if I can decipher my photos/instructions on how to attach the bike carrier to the car. Or have a big argument like last time. The last time it ended up with the child/Mrs C cycling off into the sunset while I played the Division. Hmmm.
{Edit}oh yeah. TV. Living with yourself the Paul Rudd Netflix thing. Amusing.
