The player concerned signed an agreement before this happened where he agreed not to make any political statements or something to that effect. I have less sympathy for him as a result, although the treatment of the presenters seemed harsh (as long as they did not help him in any way). Isn't that just part of the standard terms though? So you have to sign up to it or you can't play in which case it is not really an agreement. If he signed a specific agreement that would be a bit different. But in general there are so many terms and conditions for most of these games and tournaments and you have to accept them all in bulk that they become meaningless. As you can't actually negotiate them many of them would not be enforced by an English court. However they would still be able to kick you out as a troublesome player.

Yeah, the presenters being suspended was a dick move. They didn't do a thing wrong and, as Dankyl stated, even hid when they realised what the interviewee was doing.

I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing here.

I have less sympathy for him as a result, although the treatment of the presenters seemed harsh (as long as they did not help him in any way). The agreement was much more vague than that and didn't mention political statements. It basically said don't do anything offensive or that makes us look bad.

I'm not taking the blame for this one. I was just pointing out hypocrisy.

Surely corrupt Hong Kong Police officers and politicians are, technically, a 'group of the public'.

Surely corrupt Hong Kong Police officers and politicians are, technically, a 'group of the public'. Technically yes. At the weekend I was listening to/watching on YouTube Andrew Eisen's Molehill Mountain podcast where he was discussing the saga and used the analogy of puppy kicking. Pointing out that puppy kicking is mean will offend enthusiastic puppy kickers. Inevitably this led to someone joining the chat late with the question "Why is Andrew kicking puppies??!"

It's a shit show from start to finish, no doubt about it.
Anyway, what's everyone having for lunch?
Thai Green curry with fried rice here and a cheeky toffee Danish for 'afters'.

What's the fucking sketch with Costa toasties? Bag ah shite as Paul Calfe would once have said.
If you want to make a toastie put the contents on the inside and toast both sides. Don't have the top with fake burn lines and a peely wally base.
If you wish to make croque Monsieur or Madame then have the fucking deceny to make it properly.
That was my lunch.

The Blizzard thing sounds badly handled. Everything is political. Don't tell me anything bad about obsidian until after I've bought Outer Worlds.

Crank may need to translate peely wally for those of you who don't talk Scot slang - pale / white. Games: Bit of Dark Souls, I cannot get past O & S in NG+, either get wrecked before the Solaire summon or invaded if playing online, or wrecked by O&S themselves. Card games: Bit of online poker as still have flu and can't exercise. Big tournament in two weeks at the RW Genting, guaranteed 50k prize fund so getting the practice in. OTTM: Lodger bedroom ad going live tomorrow.

I just could not eat anywhere in Reading.

In other gaming news, my gaming hour last night was like a phone call to the president of Ukraine and getting your quid's worth of pro quo. It was perfect, just perfect. I had got stuck on a timed challenge in Link's Awakening dungeon maker. I was also missing one seashell that the internet told me could be obtained by completing the Rapids Race in under 35 seconds. I also realised I was missing a single heart piece. All this in the interest of 100% completion. I had tried and failed time challenges before and wasn't sure at what point I'd get frustrated and grudgingly give up. First I completed the dungeon challenge with plenty of time left on the clock. Then I found the missing heart piece which I had noticed before but forgotten to pick up once I got the swimming ability. Finally I finished the Rapids Race on my first try a few deciseconds under 35 seconds. Collecting all seashells gives you the rupees+ effect for the dungeon maker. So I'm now making up to 1,000 rupees per hour from the comfort of my homemade dungeon! Join me today and find success by using the Link below

Good afternoon one and all. Even cobblers, who I imagine must be high on dentist-anaesthetic by now. Gamesblog - Yes! YESSS!!! BioShock on the PS4. That game needs a better way of dealing with checkpoints. TVblog - South Park and TNG. Data gets to meet his dad, and bumps into WUH-OH! his evil-twin-brother in the process. Amigablog - I've had a terrain-generator working for the last few days. But the next step - to get it actually generating good terrain - has me doing lots of thinking rather than typing. 🤔
