I actually entered the 'box to defend the Swiss. It wasn't all fart jokes. History’s greatest monsters. Cheese melting surrender monkeys.

Beef Stroganoff for dinner, which, if I say so myself*, was bloody wonderful. *Which I say quite often. <edit>Washed down with: Which was really nice, an Austrian wine to go with a dish created for a Russian by a French chef.

I went to my first ever Pilates class today. Could be a game changer for my pelvis, core and wallet. Was slightly offended when the tutor asked us to spray and wipe down our mats afterwards. I thought Brexit would do away with such things.

Mrs Faceless is watching that film where Scarlett Johansson and Kylo Ren argue with each other. It's giving me depression.

Good evening Chatterbox
I'm now back at work after a decent time off, not good.
Games: Civ6 and the Outer Worlds both Christmas gifts. Well placed hints do work.
Civ: it's taking some time to get used to the new mechanics, half a dozen catastrophic defeats should sort that. 4*s
Outer Worlds: early game play seemed quite difficult (even though I'm playing on the normal setting) until I found some weapons with good sights. 4*s
OTTM: my Christmas tour around family and friends yielded no beefs or flounces. Nice result.

Nursey turned up late afternoon ... as well as the usual pain, the nurse does one leg, brightly says she's finished for the day, so someone else has to do the other leg... calls the office - tomorrow ffs - 2 x the trauma + disruption... and morphine. And we know what that means. I'm angry as I effectively get only one day a week sans great pain and their screw up has removed it... I tried to eat. Three yoghurts a slice of toast and half a jalfrezi. Severe pain and eating don't go together.
So please bear with the grumpy old sod

I watched 12 Angry Cranks this morning, on ITV4. I never knew he looked like Henry Fonda, albeit, in black & white-0-vision.

So please bear with the grumpy old sod Sorry Chumbles old mate. That does sound grim. But at least you have the comfort of knowing that Boris and his chums have your best interests at heart and will work ceaselessly night and day to give the NHS the resources they need to deliver the first class service this country deserves.

I'd like to slightly tweak my previous post.

As you were.

Looked up dqb2. Think I’ll give it a go. Might be a bit more cheerful than Frostpunk! This is how the game spreads, by word of mouth. I bought it because of tenthenemy. And now you're the next recipient. And to think that I only bought the game because I wanted a Slime plush (which I didn't get in the end).

Dinner: French goat cheese and spinach pastry parcels with fried egg and South African red. Delish.
Games: got my water bike in Poke 'em on. What took me so long? Caught my first Wailmer.
TV: Paddington 2.

But at least you have the comfort of knowing that Boris and his chums have your best interests at heart and will work ceaselessly night and day to give the NHS the resources they need to deliver the first class service this country deserves. Thanks Destry aka Arthur... there are 2 problems the NHS suffers from; one is structural and the other litigation Briefly, continuous changes in structure destroy morale, create stress and divert resources away from patient care. The NHS at all levels hides its mistakes, mainly due to fear of litigation now, but also fear of individual and professional damage to reputation (which is common to all organizations, but has always been at epic proportions in the NHS). The latter frustrates me beyond endurance when I get NHS lying to my face; on occasion even blustering away and challenging me with lying. Not.a.good.idea... here I might use hyperbole, but not with them. This constant brushing the dirt under the carpet, never addresses the problems and thereby fails to remedy them. BoJo will doubtless exacerbate both of these...
