Last night some Hiunt Showdown, top banana. After a throughly meagre showing until now, I knocked out an absolute belter. Somehow found the spider right after the first clue, smashed it in and banished it without incident then made it to the extraction point. My team mate started pinging it like crazy, I nearly just ran up to it anyway but caution prevailed and I snuck around the side with him. Then shots rang out - other hunters after our sweet bounty. A very tense five minute showdown followed, with us exchanging shots and moving between cover. Then I found an angle on one of them and kept them pinned down while the team mate flanked and shot them in the face. The other one sensed we were formidable foes and ran off or something. Or there may just have been one of them, I never really saw. We ran over to the bounty and extracted. All of this in pitch black of night. Top banana.
tldr - my teammate did all the work, won.
WFH and off to get some glasses fitted later, I think my eyes are detoririationg . I can barely read things at knee height any more.

Hello. Postcode: 3-3 Morlock. Weather: wet. TV: Detectorists. Ganes: DQB2 and I have achieved all Scarlet Sands tablet targets. This might not mean anything to most of you but believe you me it wasn't easy. The night before I had been mining rubies on Iridescent Island so that I finally had enough cheeky nightlights. And luckily they are strong! They make everything cheeky. After that success I thought I could make Babs like her Neat 'n' Sweet bedroom even more for an unlockable, but it was the same problem as with Lulu: she wanted quite a large room, so I had to knock down and rebuilt my smithy which was in the way. Anyway, I succeeded, even if the room is a slightly weird shape - that pyramid is a lost cause anyway. Encouraged by my success I set out to turn Digby's Rough 'n' Tough room into something more personal as he already liked the size. But he and his brother want a style that for some reason is called "flamboyant" but could better be described as "morbid". There's even a Reddit about it www.reddit.com/r/DQBuilders/comments/cyyn0l/flamboyant_fancy_rooms/asking whether these people are just plain evil (the answer is that maybe they just have bad taste). I managed to pull it off, though, and it doesn't even look all that ludicrous. But then I still needed to create a cute room. No problem, I thought, I've already turned one of the rooms on the second floor of my castle into a playroom, there are already plenty of 'cute' items in there, how hard can it be? Very hard, as it turns out, if you don't want to change the castle walls into some ridiculous cutesy Slime tile and the room is relatively small. The mythril I acquired recently came in useful for making Slime lamps. I was almost ready to give up when I found another empty space that I could bang a snowman into and finally! that pushed it over the line. Phew! tl;dr: dinner was late last night. |

Can't reply to any of yesterday's posts regarding dogs and what they can / can't / definitely can't eat Here's the full list as far as I am aware Onions / garlic and onion family stuff Grapes and grape derivatives (raisins etc.) - my uncle almost killed his Staffy with a few grapes not that long ago as he didn't know they were toxic to dogs. Macadamia nuts Milk Xylitol Chocolate and anything else containing cocoa solids - very dangerous Alcoholic drinks
And yes everything is toxic, you know what I mean.

As some of you may know, I'm struggling to hang on to fat bapdom... The measures I am pursuing to combat this include a 850ml+ of protein shakes (I know already that lack of protein is dangerous with ulceration) and the stuff does a very good job of keeping my peptic ulcer subdued... I have also increased my water intake to 3 to 4 litres of water a day to protect my kidneys ... I was surprised to hear quoted at about 3.35 a.m on Up All Night a number of recommendations from an Australian report ... there's little I can do about increasing my veggie intake*, but I am probably not taking enough protein in, even at that level ... If you're over a certain age then reading this carefully will help you live longer, with less pain or background conditions. *If I increased my veggie intake my colitis would activate and I'd be parked near permanently on the john. |

Gamesblog - the usual game. Tidied up the farming settlement after extensive earthworks were required for the underground system. Looking much nicer now - plus they have their toilets back.
I've created a few more fields, and the smallest animal pen known to DQB2-kind.
I'm now in the process of giving them a bar for some cheeky drinks.
TVblog - no, despite having the last episode of The Boys to watch.
